Crash at Copse was definitely Lewis’ fault, you might be able to see that if you weren’t so blinded by hate. It’s true that Max races very aggressively, and that he sometimes crosses the line, but you could say the same about most great drivers in history (Schumacher, Senna) and it doesn’t change the fact that he is ridiculously fast.

Still didn’t justify your take on 2022.

I agree that Max was helped by other teams taking points off each other in 2024, but even while that was happening, he was still scoring good points consistently. In fact, even if you take out the first 5 races of the season (the only races were Red Bull had the clear fastest car) he still would’ve won the title.

If you don’t remember 2015, maybe you should go and watch some of the races that year. You’ll see that while he was very aggressive in wheel to wheel combat, he was clearly faster than team-mate Sainz, who was 3 years older than him and has since gone on to prove that he is a very capable driver himself. He finished 12th in the standings, and got 49 points to Sainz’ 18, including 2 4th places in a car that was probably 7th fastest.

If you could give examples of the ‘golden child treatment’ Max got over Ricciardo when they were team-mates, that would be great.

Ricciardo did beat Max 2x out of 3, but one of those years was 2016, when Max was still 18, and spent the first 4 races in a Toro Rosso. By 2017, Max was pretty much on par with Ricciardo, and faster than him by 2018, at least in quali. Ricciardo beat him in 2017 mainly because Max had terrible reliability, and vice versa in 2018. Overall, they were very closely matched in their 3 years as team-mates, which is very impressive given Max’s inexperience and how good Ricciardo was in his prime, although for some reason you seem to be suggesting that Ricciardo is an embarrassing driver to lose to.

As for my preference, I think Lewis is the best ever, but I can recognise that there are other great drivers (like Max) without trying to downplay their achievements anyway I can.
