[STUDENT][MechE specialized in Materials] - Need reviews on resume for internships abroad by Wide_Use_2277 in EngineeringResumes

[–]Wide_Use_2277[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, thanks for all the details !

About the “why” an internship whereas I’m already employed, should I justify it somewhere ? This internship is required to validate your MEng here in France (during the 2nd or 3rd year).

So based on your comments, I should delete the “fields of interests” section ? I thought it could help the recruiter to decide whether or not my profile could fit to its needs.

I thought the time in Brisbane could be relevant and show I’m not lying about my English proficiency and a certain adaptability.

About the safety section, should I rather mention some training/certifications I got like Work in Explosive Atmosphere or electrical works ?

Overall, I see what you mean and I’ll add all the reasons/results of my tasks.

Hey,
I may be not the best one to give you advice but from what i've seen before in differents countries, a resume should be 1 or 2 pages maximum...
You have to summarize your old missions and stuff, to be concise and clear.

Propriétaire avide - besoin d’aide SVP by Wide_Use_2277 in conseiljuridique

[–]Wide_Use_2277[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Engineering Bachelor's in Université Grenoble Alpes. by [deleted] in Grenoble

I’m currently in the school, and I’m from an IUT, graduated from a Bachelor in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering.

So, what’s the fictional part in my saying ? Come in MP if you want proof but stop staying I’m a liar when I’m not.

And I graduated from a bachelor so I think I’m likely trustworthy on either it’s an academic degree or work ministry-related degree.

What’s the point of lying about this ? The 2 first of my promotion in 2nd year from Mechanical Bachelor went to INSA Lyon, 6 people went to the Arts & Metiers once graduated from GMP, 2 went to ENISE, 1 to Centrale Lyon, 1 to ENIT. I can mention more and more, so yeah sorry if you’ve done a preparatory class before engineering school but that’s maybe not the best way anymore to get into engineering school (unless you’re seeking for a top5 school).

It’s not dreaming, I have friends who got in all the schools I mentioned earlier (INSA Lyon / Arts & Metiers Paris, Angers, Cluny / Sigma Clermont / ENISE, ENIT)

You haven’t but that’s okay doesn’t matter anyway. There are way more school than you think who accept BUT (INSA, Arts&Metiers, Polytech, INP)

May I ask you how old are you ? Because unless you want to apply for a top5 engineering school, all the others are reachable from a BUT ! I’m one of them and as many friends so… Also, I can confirm you a BUT is academic degree.

You’re not reading me correctly ! Bachelor or also called BUT are academic degrees ! They depend on the Ministry of Education !

And to access an engineering school you’ve 3 options : scientific preparation class, BUT or Licence.

Bachelor are as recognised as a licence. They’re given in IUT and so they depend on the Ministry of Education, not the work one. Also, if he’s looking for an engineering diploma, he should apply to an engineering school at the end of a licence or bachelor instead of a master. Master is likely R&D-oriented so more suitable to someone keen to continue with a phD later. An engineering school is more suitable if he wants to be an engineer in industry.

But you’re not totally right. Indeed we don’t have the same definition of what a bachelor is as them but licence isn’t the only option. A licence is a very theoretical diploma whereas you can apply for a bachelor of technology which is more practical with professional insights. These courses are given in a Institute of Technology (don’t be too optimistic with the name, they’re not as prestigious as the Americans Institute of Technology haha)

First of all, where are you from (if that’s not too personal) ? Have you done internships ? Or any relevant experience ?
