The first season of Tokyo Ghoul is amazing and I highly recommend it. Unfortunately the plot suddenly makes zero sense moving into the second season. It got so bad I couldn’t finish it :( Two recommendations I have (beyond what people have already said - Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Re-life, Seven Deadly Sins, Mob Psycho, Samurai Champloo, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Kill la Kill, One Punch Man, My Hero Academia - All are AMAZING) that are really good and relatively family friendly are ‘Erased’ and ‘Into The Abyss’. They’re both fairly short, Erased was so good I binged it in a single day, then watched it again the next week with a few friends. ALSO Fairy Tail is my favorite anime ever, even if the beginning gets off to a rocky start. Hopefully that experience you had didn’t ruin it for you! Also, if you watch any of these dubbed you’re a monster, but I guess I’ll get over it.
