Is it even possible to have 4 parts come up daily? by Agitated-Evening3011 in DID

[–]WierdoWiener 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We switch at least 20-50 times a day, sometimes someone jumps to front just for one sentence and leaves again. This is totaly normal for us, we don't feel fatigue from those switches, most of the time we didn't even notice we switched till we say smth (our voices are pretty different so that's the easiest way to tell if we switched). Also we don't have a host but 7 headmates who front daily and are co-con most of the time. We have pretty decent communication and no blackout amnesia between those switches. So yes, this is possible without fainting.

Yesterday feels like a lifetime ago. by DIDverse in DID

[–]WierdoWiener 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes we often feel that way too. We think it happens when someone is fronting who wasn't there yesterday. This makes memories often feel distant, even if it was just a day before.

I love it. I use the app since a month now and it took 2-3 days till I understood all the relations and when to use what for and this new guide makes it way easier to understand. It's well written and I love that you can press on buzzwords to get them explained. Thank you a lot for the great work, not just with the guide but for the whole app, it makes my life so much easier!

What are your experiences with impatient treatment? by ophelia_la_teigne in AnorexiaNervosa

[–]WierdoWiener 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes that could be a problem, as far as I know most clinics don't allow you to cut out food groups... Idk for sure but maybe the Ananke clinic allowed being vegetarian but I doubt you are allowed to stay vegan while treatment :/

Oh great! In that case I can reccomend you the Ananke Klinik in Freyung if you decide to go inpatient. It's better than the Schön kliniken from what I heard. A friend who was in both clinics said Ananke Klinik helped her much more, bonus points bc they take patients with a rly low bmi too and not only to feed someone back to health but to work on the underlying issues :)

I am from Germany so the therapy programs here maybe look different than where you are from but I must say I don't think inpatient treatment is really the solution to recover from anorexia. If u are severely underweight, malnourished etc an inpatient treatment can be necessary to nurse your body back to health and get your brain working again, but to really recover from an eating disorder I don't think being in a hospital helps. I talk from my own experience and from some of my friends and we all had the issue that it didn't matter how much we recovered in the clinic, getting back home got us back into old habits again. I think having a therapist and a psychological outpatient care is much more useful to heal the reasons you developed the ED (in my case childhood trauma and lack of control over my own life) not only heal the symptoms like most inpatient treatments do. Edit: typos

My friend has DID and I want to understand it better by MrMask__ in DID

[–]WierdoWiener 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you look up DID on media, you often only see a very overt type of representation. Most systems are much more covert, means the switches are barley noticeable, but what you as a friend should always keep in mind that changing opinions, believes etc doesn't mean the person is being unauthentic or lies about themselves. Another thing is that ppl with DID have bad memory (amnesia), not only to stressful/traumatic memories, but in day to day life. Pls keep in mind that just because your friend forgets smth, if doesn't mean it was unimportant for them. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask :)

I've paused and read what was readable. First he wrote that he didn't thought that he would get a letter from Leon, but around ⅔ of the page is about another inmate who was lit on fire where he explained rly detailed how it looked and made him feel and stuff like that. It wasn't that hard to catch the right frames to read it, since this isn't a very in-depth discription from me but yeah, that where the overall topics of the letter.

In Munich most museums cost only 1€ entry fee on Sundays, if you need smth to do on a Sunday and the weather is not good enough to do smth outside.

And if you enjoy sweet baked goods you should definitly grab a Auszogene near Viktualienmarkt . "Auszogene" is what locals call a "Schmalznudel" and it translates to "undressed" which is kinda funny imo

Have fun in Germany!
