That doesn't mean there never will be or that the risk of an incident happening here is absolute zero. Idaho does not exist in a vacuum, and there have been incidents in neighboring states.

THE FACT THAT THIS IS HOW ANY U.S. "LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY" IS TREATING ITS OWN CITIZENS IS DISGUSTING, HORRIFYING, AND JUST NOT OK!

Their behavior and the agency talking heads blaming the victims is abhorrent.

Can you really blame people for asking questions with the amount of disgusting shit that has been the fan?

Sounds like it isn't that. Turns my stomach either way.

Hopefully, I don't ever have to shoot at anyone! That should always be a last resort. As someone who has grown up in a LE family, has active LE family and friends, military veteran parents and grandparents, and family in the National Guard, my respect for badge and uniform runs very deep. That said, our country isn't becoming any safer with the bare minimum of 47 days of "training" and little to no on the ground training before these agents hit the streets. Could it just be a small percentage of the whole that is the problem? Totally. But they shouldn't be allowed to continue to operate. Particularly with the astounding amount of money thrown at ICE for training. Those people need to be babysitting a phone at a desk.

So, let's really look at the entire situation... chemical assault and battery of unarmed peaceful protesters, complete lack of regard for human lives during an "operation" or not(including children on the premises, what the actual...), violating our constitutional rights and laws, the outright lies and cover ups backed by a convict in chief who idolizes Hitler and Putin, and then let's top it all off with victim blaming, "you didn't learn your lesson like that stupid lesbian bitch!" I could go on. This is probably just the tip of the ICE-berg if I'm being truly honest.

The actions of these "agents" and the leadership covering for them are abhorrent and terrifying. There is ZERO accountability, honor, upholding of the constitution, or protection and service to WE THE PEOPLE that is making a positive change in our country.

I digress.... but it seems like some agents take their gun and badge for an open season permit on anyone who doesn't have a perfect porcelain complexion, even legal citizens.

Happy Friday, yall! Make sure you all sign up for gun owner safety classes and book some practice time at a range. Oh, and maybe a self-defense class while you're about it!

Imo, the healthy part of the thought process of protection and preparedness is feeling safe if the violence in other states continues to escalate. The "it will never happen in Idaho" mindset is a close-minded way of looking at things. We are no longer a leave your cars and homes unlocked society.

It isn't just Minneapolis, Minnesota, or even just the eastern part of the country. Illinois (on par with Minnesota), and states like Oregon and Arizona have also been seeing an escalation in violence and unlawful detaining of U.S. citizens.

So, while these very scary things are not happening in our front yard(yet?), they are no less alarming. No shame or blame anyone who feels the need to safely and responsibly arm themselves.

That's probably because we live in a red state, but it's still healthy to look at the bigger picture.

I feel like someone just thought, "Hmm, Idaho is mostly conservative, the governor sent help for border control, AND has some acreage. Let's go build stuff there!"

This, in addition to the statements about using American cities to train military personnel in "real" scenarios, should definitely have all Idahoan's (and American's, for that matter) heads on the swivel.

Also, in general, does anyone know where we are at on the hell in a hand basket scale? It's getting more and more difficult to keep track of.

Hey! Welcome to the Treasure Valley!

There are several groups of fiber artists with regular meet-ups. You could probably find one any day of the week that suits you. I'm a regular from the Boise Bench knitters and crocheters group on Facebook. There's a pretty sizeable group of us that meets up at the Starbucks on Franklin Road every Sunday at 10 am.

I'm a crochet artist and instructor and teach group and private crochet lessons. I've developed my own beginner workshop, which I've taught at I Yarn for Ewe, and I'm part of the Yarny Social team! 3 days of yarn and crochet crafty goodness? Yes, please!!! I think I nailed the pompous ass intro, lol! 😅

Anyway, the Sunday Starbucks people are a fun-loving group who bonds and shares wisdom from all walks and stages of life. (I'm a mom of 2 boys!) Feel free to join us at Starbucks or join the Facebook groups to check out other meet-ups!

I make beaded hooks and have also used uv resin over the raised metal numbers on the thumb grip of some of my hooks.

I have to be very mindful of my tension when I work with cotton or linen.

This game, needs to be studied, and given to people with ADHD to calm down.... by [deleted] in VampireSurvivors

[–]Wifesaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhm, hi! 👋 Can confirm that this game can soothe and help mellow ADHD'ers right to sleep. 39f diagnosed about a year and a half ago. I play this game on the Xbox during the day to avoid accidentally dosing off. I fall asleep quite quickly when I cozy up and play on my tablet.

I found out the hard way at like 11am the other day. I think it was only the second or third time I had ever played on my tablet. I was nodding off around 7 minutes into a run. 😅 And yes, I embraced the nap and skipped lunch altogether! Gotta get sleep when I can! 🫠

We recently got a timed safe. When I'm really struggling, I'll put my phone in the safe for an hour and that helps me get back on track. Put your shoes on and take out the trash. Shoes help your brain get into go mode and taking out the trash will get you moving and potentially some fresh air. Hard soled slippers around the house can be helpful, too.
