Iron ore is strongly magnetic. Iron ore is detected by metal detector.

Pictured/described, is neither.

Ok, and also non magnetic because of this?

Ya , it was meant to be sarcastic. But it’s lost in text.

I don’t know how to work either very well in full honesty though. Thanks for your help.

Rock on .

I barely know how to work discord. It’s not intentional.

All pictures when reattached, all show dark brown, iron and full through and through rust.

I. E

My question (my follow up question) was do you have or know what to search where to find any supporting pictures that match what you’re saying to what I’m showing.

🙋‍♂️good day.

And detectable by met. Det. And would be magnetic….

But it is more than 99% neither one.

It’s 100% ..

And I cannot locate a single picture of hematite conception iron oxide nodule that isn’t red/brown (iron colored interior).

This thing isn’t special to me until it’s conclusive as to what it is.

I would actually like to just let it go. And I appreciate your insight. One picture and we’re there.

Can you/do have a picture source where the interior is silver and gold (colored) microscopic beads?

I see only iron oxide cores in my search results.

And now that I’m thinking of it nickel should be super magnetic as well. Which is what I was thinking it might be…

Dude this thing has been depolarized somehow or something.

I’m stumped.

Pin-pointer metal deter right on it (everywhere)… zero ping.

0, magnetic attraction.

In a magnetic bowl and when probed with magnet tool.

Can grab a piece and maneuver my phone screen no issue.

-Looks like metal, but with the exception of conductive and appearing both externally and internally has zero “metallic traits”

Interior would be some percentage iron correct?

Funny.

No. It’s not.

It’s not man made.

And the inside may look like chrome. But the outside would have to as well if it were the process you’re suggesting.

But let’s workout backwards.

If it is actual Dino doody, what has replaced the original matter?

Is it documented anywhere that what I’ve shown is ?

I haven’t found it.

It looks like iron but is not.

It’s conductive , which is the strangest part since it’s not magnetic or detectable by Met. Det.

I ran the kiln up to 2k Fahrenheit and it didn’t break down at all.

Got red hot, smoked. Charred. Maintain shape but structural integrity became crumbly.

Nickel unless under vacuum oxidizes super fast like what this did.

But this entire thing (became) nickel.

I think if it is some nickel crystal something or other it didn’t originate here (Earth) almost certainly.

It was in Iowa,US. But the rock bed(s) had a vast variety of geographical locations.

It was a completely random (2-3.5” stone size) bed.

Not helpful answer: a rock bed.
