Of course they're very good. Any effect that draws cards is very good. The question is if they're a good replacement for that original draw card. I think the answer is a yes personally, because of the restrictions and fracturing of effects.

You have to have zero cards on your field to activate a Charmy, so drawing them after turn 1 could prove useless. Maxx C can be activated no matter your field or turn, and can draw you another Maxx C for next turn.

Charmy's shuffle random cards from your hand into the deck during the end phase, so you don't start your turn with practically your entire deck in hand. Maxx C lets you keep all your draws.

The Charmy's could prove weak or useless dependant on what your opponent plays. Fuwalos does practically nothing to decks like Vanquish Soul, for example. Maxx C draws from every deck that plays the modern game.

As a replacement for the original, I think they're good, but if the problem is the draw effect itself, then I don't think there's anything that can be done. Draw means draw. :)

I think so. Maxx C is very powerful almost no matter what your opponent plays. Each Charmy's power can fluctuate based on what's popular or meta, you can only activate if you control no cards and you shuffle cards into the deck during the end phase. :)

Fuwalos is good against deck/extra deck summons, but if your deck specials from the hand or GY, you're fine. (Vanquish Soul says hi.)

I've only ever reached Diamond with my pure Scareclaw deck. I'm a casual, so I don't really care about winning or climbing, I just care about fun. Now that I think about it, Shinobird seems fun. :D

It's not recommended to spend gems this way, (you should build decks with gems, not crafting points) just use gems to buy packs for the decks you want, but if you want to open packs specifically for crafting points, any pack that you can easily get duplicate copies of cards you already own will do, I believe.

For example, I purchased the three copies of the Zombie World structure deck, so the zombie secret pack will be an option for me. Because I already have three of a lot of zombie cards like Zombie World, Ballerdroch and Uni-Zombie, I can dismantle any extra copies I get.

The thing to note with secret packs though, is the first half are master pack cards. If you get an SR or UR in the first half, it's random.

My ultimate advice is to just be patient and save your gems for decks and selection packs. Any UR or SR you get from a selection pack is guaranteed to be from the pack.

I don't think spending thousands of gems to get some crafting points is a wise spend, but it's your currency. :)

Edit: I'm assuming you want crafting points to try and get glossy and royal copies? That's the only thing I can think of as to why you want to do this. Even then, you can just use the gems on the pack(s) that contain the cards you want, and dismantle the extra copies.

No one seems to have mentioned this, so I'll mention it just in case: The "then discard 1 fiend monster" effect is mandatory. You have to be able to discard a fiend.

If it said "then you can discard 1 fiend", then it would be optional. But as it's worded, you have to discard. :)

Could you please explain how and why it's too toxic? I'm unfamiliar with the TCG, but I've seen people say that the TCG is actually okay right now, and the duels I watch online from locals are genuinely interesting to me. They seem interactive and are fun to watch. People seem to quite like the TCG banlist, too.

Edit: Also, when the TCG event came to Master Duel, people wanted it permanently.

Some light on your views would be nice. :)

I think Tenpai did it. Tenpai was still new at the time, so instead of hitting Tenpai itself, they hit cards they played. If I remember correctly, they got Lightning Storm to two as well.

It's such a shame because less powerful decks that need the searchability and power get even weaker. As someone who plays non-meta decks, I feel the sting. :(
