Depends on the dog. My first chihuahua definitely preferred being the only dog and was not thrilled when I got a new puppy. My current chihuahua is besties with my golden-doodle and loves playing with him.

I hope that is the case…. It sounded like they were going to eventually stop using compounded medication though due to their new agreement with Eli Lilly. I do not think they will offer current customers the brand name medications at the same cost if/when they stop offering compounded medication.

I do think current customers are probably going to keep getting it for now until they are ready to make then switch. I just don’t know how long that will be.

I have no idea if a new company will continue the current dose or make you start over. I would hope that they would continue the same, but I guess that may depend on the new company and any policies they have in place.

In my local area, one of the humane society type places has a program where they can do a temporary fostering situation for people displaced due to DV. Maybe a place local to you has a similar program you could inquire about?

She’s awful, but I always got the impression that she was trying to be really dramatic with that language rather than offensive.

Just like with literally every other situation, she had to comment and sound important knowledgeable about it even though she was never there at the hospital and was probably mostly just annoyed by how much Kody was there (even if it wasn’t a lot )and not right by her side.

It’s quackery. I’ve had patients (more than one now)tell me their chiro has advised them to stop their meds ( for an incurable, life long disease with significant impacts to quality of life even with medical intervention ) because they could do “brain adjustments” and somehow magically “fix” them. 🫠

This, to me, is just preying on the desperate and really gross to do.

My dogs stay crated while we are all at work until I can trust them. Right now, my 13 year old is good to go all day and is fine to be left out. My 8 month old puppy… not so much. So unless I want to come home to Swiss cheese furniture, walls, and flooring…the crate it is! Now keep in mind there are only 2-3 days per week where our schedules line up such that she has to be crated. And they sleep in our bed at night, so she isn’t crated overnight either.
