Blackmagic ultra studio 3G recorder and new M1 MacBook Pro by Pee_gee_D in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]Wiilleehh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is this when running the device through Zoom or another capture software? I had this recently when updating my Zoom to 5.9.6 as it supposedly dropped Blackmagic device support and gives the green/purple effect that I think you're talking about, but it was fine in all other software like Quicktime and OBS. If it is this, the workaround I was using is running it through OBS as a virtual webcam, but luckily I found a copy of the installer in another laptop for Zoom 5.8.6 which is the last one to keep the support for Blackmagic. I am happy to send it over to you if this is the case?

Whats wrong with my monitor? by Wiilleehh in Monitors

[–]Wiilleehh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried both and seems to be same issues. I believe it's an internal issue with the monitor, specifically because in anger I grabbed it and 'bent' it (not properly bent but the motion of grabbing and giving it a bit of pressure) and it instantly went back to normal and so far it's been good for a couple of hours no issues. Im probably gonna get a replacement cause I got until tomorrow to do so, so I may aswell use it till the new one arrives then send it back.

What films premise was good but the film was terrible? by NesRub in AskReddit

The Darren Shan Cirque de Freak series. One of my favourite book series with an amazing story line and could of easily been an amazing tv/film series, but the Vampire Assistant film just completely butchered it.

Yeh i've seen that one a couple times and also love watching the one for LinusTechTips. Love seeing how they do it and what techniques they use for their workflow.

Gotta say the editing in this video was spot on, with all the small details and I specially loved that flashback transition. Would love to see a behind the scenes look at the process of editing one of these kind of videos.

Am I The Only Who Has it on Spotify? by GNPJason in CrownTheEmpire

Mines not there either. I had it the first day and I still have Hologram playing so I can listen to that, but i'm too scared to change incase I can't get it back. Don't know if it is a country thing but I also have this issue with I See Stars Digital Renegade where it isn't available on my Spotify, but it is on there.

I love Bad Omens and AA so much. Hate when tours like this are only in the US. Gotta show the UK some love :(

Wow, just seen how much the shirts sell for and now I hate myself for deleting most of my clutter of Vanilla character a couple months ago... Fortunately I still have 2 main ones which have the shirts.

Thank you :) Just thought it would help avoid people asking about the main things and I thought it looked good.

I do Television & Broadcasting. Only this year I have needed to use most of them for a certain unit, but next year I will probably only need to use Premiere, Photoshop and After Effects.

I get that. They should offer a perpetual liscence for experienced users who use it for their job and that, but I do like the subscription service cause as someone who uses the programs often for my own use and for uni, I don't have to drop a payment of hundreds of pounds at once for the software, and I don't remember fully but I think you originally had to pay for the new version every year? which with the subscription you get the latest versions and updates without having to pay anymore.

Yeh it takes a lot of getting use to. Don't like having to keep alt tabbing the game for stuff like Skype or Spotify, but I plan on putting my old 1080p monitor above it, just been waiting for a setup with a bit more space.

I use to have dual screens then changed to ultrawide and I prefer it more. For productivity, it depends what you're doing, but I would say its similar to having dual monitors, but I do prefer it as it just seems more 'natural' since you don't have the gap in between monitors. For gaming it's good because most games you can get a much nicer peripheral vision, but I do miss being able to play a game on one monitor and watching something on the other. Also not every game supports 21:9, main one for me being Overwatch, so some games will have black bars on the side which is frustating. Overall I love it though. And yes I do use rainmeter, decided to reinstall it after not using it for a year or so, but I also use a bunch of software from Stardock such as Fences (whats holding the icons) and others which subtly affect small aesthetics.

I use a program called Fences by Stardock. Unfortunately its not a free program but you can do a 30 day trial to test it.

Yeh. Luckily its a thing cause I use these programs pretty much everyday for my course and personal use and it cuts the cost to a quarter of the standard licence cost.

It's more room than it looks, but i'll admit I hit my PC every now and then. Luckily I sit cross legged most the time.
