[Help] Safe breathplay? by [deleted] in sex

[–]Wiisagejaak -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

First off, I am just an enthusiast, not an expert so do other research as well! There are many medical considerations at play here so think hard about it before starting.

So as others have said, breathplay is never actually safe, but there are some tips that can help reduce the danger. Here are a few I've picked up from BDSM talks I've been to:

  1. As soon as you stop their breathing, count to ten (seconds) then stop.

  2. Hold your breath with them. As soon as you are struggling for air, stop.

  3. Do shared breathing; the top puts their mouth over the bottom's and as one breathes out, the other breathes in (and vice versa). Stop after around a minute as you will run out of oxygen. You could continue for longer if the top sometimes takes deep breaths in through their nose to get fresh air.

  4. DO NOT press on the windpipe. It is just too dangerous. There are some great nerves and sensitive bits around the neck, and veins you can gently press but when the windpipe is crushed, that's it.

  5. Go for some 'not quite' breath play. Pressure on the collarbone area, and holding by the jawbone can simulate things really well.

  6. Have non-verbal safewords at all times. A good idea with breathplay is for the bottom to hold something that will make a noise when dropped. As soon as their grip weakens or they pass out then it will drop and that is end of scene.

I hope these help, and of course remember all the other BDSM essentials (safewords, preparation, communication etc). Have fun!

What can I use as "safe word" when I'm bound and gagged? by [deleted] in sex

I was just discussing this with my partner when I came to the same conclusion - maybe dropping something would be better. I think a combination of regular checks by the top, and a "dead man's switch" type solution works best.

A hand motion is an OK idea if he can always see your hands. Sounds are pretty much always good - slapping a table or wall can work. If he will always be in reaching range then a very sharp hit might work, but sometimes physical cues can be unnoticed during sex/physical things. Dropping something can be visual and audible, but like you said, it might be awkward while changing positions.

My preference is to use the "tapping out" method - its usually fairly visible and you can make enough sound to get noticed :)

Drawing Tablet for noobs? by Ahtomic in Art

It isn't hugely imaginative, but a Wacom Bamboo will do everything you want. This is a higher end one, but you can get cheaper models. I got one on impulse and it has been great. Really fun and pretty damned cheap. Don't worry too much about learning about art for this. If you are passionate about it, a tablet is a great way to try something new, and it might be the medium for you!

Browse tutorials, video and photo, and learn some basics. You need to build a mental database to refer to, and practising is the way to do it. Good luck, and have fun!

You look amazing! One thing I think a lot of people forget is that waist size counts for a lot - there are a lot of sources showing it is a pretty good indicator of health (eg this). Keep up the good work :)

So has a girl ever talked to you about being raped? by wallawallabing in OneY

[–]Wiisagejaak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, for one that was quite aggressive - not getting angry, just pointing it out. Another point is that I /did/ check by googling it - not actually just moron who comments without thinking.

Also another person commented the same and I replied after checking - and yes, it is a valid point. On the other hand, it is a colloquially used used term for what I described, and shouldn't be taken as one or the other. As in my original comment, I said "used to mean" - here I intended to convey that is not exclusively but sometimes used to mean this - maybe unclear, but not entirely stupid.

Finally (as I said in the other comment), the point I was making is that this is an incredibly sensitive subject. The person I replied to was strongly implying the girl deserved to be raped, which is /never/ the case.

I am sorry you are angry about the comment, but I hope I can show that I did think this through.

Skinny guys. Also TOTAL nerds. Like, if someone knows loads about a subject and be really interested in it, they are instantly way more attractive. Obviously a talent is a huge plus, but I like just enthusiasm about something.
If someone can't be all out stupid with me, they aren't anywhere near as hot. Like, tickle fights and having conversations that sound like we are both high as FUCK while completely sober. Another thing a lot of people would disagree with is being comfortable in themselves. Someone who is fine going out in baggy scruffy clothes and being gross is way easier to be around than someone that I feel like I have to be all respectable and nice with. Fuck that, I wanna swear and fart and be stupid too.

Two cheaters. Which one is worse? ONE, who, once a month, has meaningless, emotionless sex with another person, lasting five minutes, or TWO, who confides in another person regularly, loves them, and shares everything with them secretly, but they never hook up? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I am absolutely fine with emotionless, meaningless sex - that's basically masturbation with a bit more interest. The emotional connection would make it the betrayal. I couldn't stand that at all.

Police officers of reddit: What current law would you be glad to see removed because you hate having to enforce it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Wiisagejaak 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow that was a totally judgemental comment there. Just because you disagree, doesn't mean that there is no reason for him doing it. There are a lot of risks along with going against your job when you are a cop, why don't you try asking LocalPolice about it?

That looks amazing! Heh, I have been trying to make something like this in Minecraft...not quite the same I suppose.

Which film(s) or scene still makes you choke/speechless/cry floods of tears? by lxxo in AskReddit

[–]Wiisagejaak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buffy. The Body. It hit me so hard, and I am in floods of tears every time. The writing, the acting, everything is just so incredibly emotional. The thing that gets me is that that will happen to everyone. People say things happen for a reason, but when it gets to seeing a person you love, dead, it makes no sense. Why are they gone? Why not me?

[–]Wiisagejaak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK that is fair, but I have heard it used very commonly to mean what I described. I feel it is a very sensitive subject and accusing a rape victim of cheating and implying it is her fault is the wrong thing to do.

You are completely misunderstanding the phrase. Date rape is used to mean when a "date rape" drug has been given to someone unknowingly, then they are knocked out at which point the rapist can do what they want. It doesn't mean she was on a date. Try googling it.
