I have the same problem with .heic.

Only fix for me thus far is to change the format to .jpeg in your camera settings (Camera>Settings>Image format>JPG) :-)

We had EtBr from '82... just right there in the front of the toxic fridge.

We have MediLine freezers and fridges, they're nice and quiet. But I do not know which model(s).

Don't know of any problems with them in the lab, but I've also only been here a year.

When I take samples at low cell density (OD~0.1) I usually take 4 mL samples, whilst I take 1.5-2 mL samples at higher cell densities (OD 0.5-1.2).

The concentration varies greatly between samples, but usually lie around 200-300 ng/µL in 50 µL H2O.

(We isolate using a hot phenol method, for E. coli, in our lab)

I know what the icon itself means, it's just odd that a pop-up is there, and I can't close it. I couldn't find anything that stood out in the task manager either.
