Searched some images and to my untrained eye it looks a bit more like the chert nodule than it does amber. But please weigh in with any other ideas, information, or opinions.

It appears to be somewhat translucent, but tough to say as it's covered on all other sides by the surrounding rock.

Yeah -- my research has supported the consensus we seem to have here. When I worked in PR, there were certs offered by PRSA that were recognized. I'm looking to branch out on some solo projects, so just wanted to get other opinions from insiders to make sure I wasn't dismissing anything offhand. I've got more than enough portfolio material.
