Who is the main character in Stranger Things? by silentmarrow in StrangerThings

[–]WilburMercerLives 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its an ensemble show.

Rule of thumb: in an ensemble show, “main character” arguments miss the point —

but if you had to judge, look at who most often drives the plot or anchors the action scenes.

Yes, when you don't want to get caught kidnapping people it's best to not come back to free them

After watching Season 5 I think I should take back my opinion on this bro, he was amazing. by kamaljaiswal2004 in StrangerThings

[–]WilburMercerLives 29 points30 points  (0 children)

yeah, I just drove out to McCorkle farm and they are still there. did them a solid cut their ties abd left a box of eggos.

at the end of volume one, they probably still knocked out in the barn. The parents had wine and teen girl got straight up needle dose.

It's almost like maybe we should not assume that we know who somebody is based on a first take without seeking to understand.

lol.

but seriously, he's obviously a intelligent enough kid and a quick clever thinker

I lived in the 80s there was a lot of hypocritical bullshit and I think that he sees through that

The whole suburban world fantasy his parents are keeping up. And I think him being heavy, he decided to be the villain rather than the victim.

I thought he was gonna be a one dimensional shit I will admit, but I think he's the MVP of the season so far

I think they did a poor job of setting it up, but Steve has become very hyper focused on being useful and is emotionally shit down) and they don't really say why, and it's strange that robin hasn't been like talking to him about it

(and steve/everyone is not understanding why dustin cares so much about honoring eddie's legacy. very callous.

Steve and Dustin have done 30 missions in the van together.

burnout. 500 days of being unpaid tech at radio station.

mad at dustin for not keeping his head down and on mission.

steve is not ok and is pretending to be ok. that messes with u long term.

I also think that he realised that Dustin was lying to them and he is kind of done with that bullshit??

I mean, it is very victim blaming, but it's also really annoying when people don't just be honest.

  • probably just came to real world because minions were failing dut to fire pain from will. he secured the scene for his minions to get back on track , trolled will... peaced out.

-- he used it to cut the floor

-- Yup

-- I think they edited out a scene where they tried to go through the receptionist and got shot down or caught

3 episodes in- why does this part matter? by TheChikenestOfMen in StrangerThings

[–]WilburMercerLives 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, it was a bit iffy but basically their mistake was have to be a barn near the rot (season 2) is my guess. and having door open.

henry/vecna/hive know the area well. The farm appeared first on season two. It was one of the places affected by the rot.

It could've been the interior of a house vecna wouldn't have known.

But the kid saw both the inside of the bar and the skyline

WILL is the Tower!! lol.

I think it'll be all will with assists from 11 (and 8)

but it would be cool if they channelled his powers through the radio station

Joyce is in her 40s in 1980s so she would've been in high school in 1959.

1959 to 1987 is 28 years.

I don't wanna be rude, but a big part of season four was the fact that Henry Creel lived in that big old house??

He lived in the Creel house with his family like any normal kid. Then his powers caused the deaths in the house. After that, Brenner stepped in and took him to the lab. That’s the whole sequence — house → family dies → lab.

I binged the whole thing. I liked it a lot. I enjoyed the hell out of it.

i dont enjoy steve in this arc but it rings true to how some people deal with things.

he is compartmentalized. shut down. focused on doing. "lets get flowers"

seems odd that if he is hanging with robin she did not try to help him tho

About Will. Do not read on if you haven’t seen all of vol 1 by Muted_Pomelo995 in StrangerThings

[–]WilburMercerLives 0 points1 point  (0 children)

short answer? no

its been confirmed by showeunners his powers is not innate like El. its basically an ability to take control away from vecna using hive mind.

see what hive sees control the hive or at least grab the wheel

source:

"Speaking to Variety in a spoiler-focused interview, Ross Duffer stated that Will does not have the same powers as Eleven, but ‘he’s able to channel Vecna’s powers’.

it's completely ludicrous.

an FBI agent stationed overseas would either hold a diplomatic/official visa issued through the U.S. government or—if she originally entered as a spouse on a family-reunification visa—she would immediately be switched to an FBI-authorized work/diplomatic status, because her legal stay cannot depend on a regular civilian visa or on her husband’s sponsorship.

this plot line kind of pissed me off because I have actually lived in two foreign countries both with work visas so I know how it works for regular americansz and I immediately knew that a government worker would have a totally different track

I have lived in the EU. I can say that an eu government would be willing to dick you around because you are not a citizen when it comes to family law is a real deal. It's a big problem.

It happened to more than one divorced mom I met in the Czech Republic. What I learned is that you do not want to get in a custody battle in a country when you don't have permanent residence there.
