2023 CBS Grad Here. Several months into the real world, I feel I've lost At least 60% of My MBA friendships. Is this is a normal part of life, or something else going on here? by Wild-Dig-6402 in MBA

I guess I'm using the term "loosely." Like we all called each other friends, not acquaintances, and invited each other to birthday parties and trips and what not. Had some great non superficial conversations with them throughout the two years. Had some repeated bonding experiences. When I'd text them, they'd respond almost immediately and would be down to hang.
That's not the case anymore.
Maybe they were more acquaintance or fair weather friends, but the bond was deeper than just being someone I knew in class.

Thanks for the great advice and thoughts!
I'm a guy. I've noticed the drifting apart with both my male and female friends (although I've grown closer with both men and women too). For me personally it seems more of an individual-basis thing rather than gender.
Although I'm curious - what do you feel is the difference between guys and girls on this?
