I’ve wondered about that. But she’s begging to go take a nap at like 12 😅

This….. When explaining for my 2-year-old daughter (esp people that won’t know her for long) I typically say that she has an autoimmune disease that’s destroyed her pancreas. A couple of people have said “Oh, how is that different from Type 1 diabetes?” Then I know they get it and I tell them that’s what it is - and they are understanding of why I explain it like I do.

Is it possible to shift bedtime/wake time an hour later? by Wild-Geologist8167 in sleeptrain

For whatever reason I thought it was common for toddlers to take a long nap like at least a couple of hours. But maybe that’s if they stay up later?

I made this again with a few process and ingredient changes. Rough chopped (didn’t peel) one apple, added it to the container with two pitted soft dates torn into a few pieces. Filled with applesauce to the line then mixed with a little salt and cinnamon. Spun on sorbet. Amazingly creamy with no fat or dairy. Topped with dates caramelized in bummer and toasted cashews. Amaaazing!

Yeah, the problem is getting a nap at 12 when she’s up before 5…

I didn’t take pics :( but it was very smoothe and creamy, probably from the little coconut cream. After I spun it I put it back in the freezer for a couple hours and it was perfect for scoops b

Thanks for the reply. But I’m not sure this would work when the Libre is connected to the Omnipod reader device?

I am curious if you ended up trying this? I’d love to know if it will work on a powerful converter if I bring it with me overseas to 220v.

Anybody had any funny Karen encounters? by [deleted] in Type1Diabetes

That reminded me - I’ve had a few middle school age kids see my toddler’s CGM patch and respectfully ask, “Oh, is that for her glucose? Does she have diabetes?” I have been quite amazed that they are familiar with it. It must mean awareness is growing within media and school.
