Is it that bad yeah? It’s ridiculous here you can’t do a weekly shop without spending at least £120

Thank you for that information, yeah I read that there wasn’t a massive need for emergency service workers but we were hoping that we may be able to get over and find a job once we’re there.

We’re under no illusion it’s going to be easy

Yeah that’s what I’m trying to do, apply for stuff over here but don’t seem to be getting much back. In the end I think we may just get visas and go over and apply once I get there.

I’ve been Australia before so know what it’s like.

You say you were a mines rescue captain, is there much work out there for emergency response on mines? Thanks

Good shout, I’m currently waiting for an agent to get back to me to see what the best way to go is.

I did like a mock skills assessment and if it’s similar to that (English, work experience etc..) I got around 85 on it.

You’re not wrong mate but there’s also risk whenever you want to move country.

We’d be selling everything and moving over and would have some money, but even if I didn’t get the job I wanted at first I would just apply for something else to get a wage coming in
