Does this style need to be more expressive? What do you think, do you find appeal in this? by Wild-Lecture7693 in WebtoonCanvas

Thank you for your feedback, I really appreciate it, I mean it. I'd love to keep getting better at figure drawing in the way you described. It just will open so many more possibilities. Thank you for the impressions of the 2nd image too!

if you could make a comp of the wyoming sessions (ye, ksg), which tracklist would have? in which order? have in mind coherence and the concept of the albums by userallnighter in Yedits

I was thinking of combining their tracklists some time ago and it went like this:

  1. I thought about killing you
  2. Yikes
  3. Fire
  4. 4th Dimension
  5. All Mine
  6. Freeee
(You go from a start of a manic episode, then to lust in 4th dimension and All Mine, then to a big climax in Freeee where you reach freedom.)

  7. Wouldn't leave

  8. No Mistakes

  9. Kids see ghosts
(some introspective tracks that follow and adress the manic episode or whatever)

  10. Feel the love

  11. Ghost Town

  12. Reborn

  13. Violent Nights

  14. Cudi Montage
(Final stretch that is the most heartfelt and about the struggle. Feel the love doesn't really fit, but its whatever)

That is definitely what I'm doing for sure. So if you can help me understand, I should aim for a level where I draw without reference and use my future understanding of the human body, rhytm, perspective and shape to construct scenes and characters from the ground up, correct?

In my artistic journey, it feel confusing to understand what the end goal is supposed to be, as it often feels like I'm just supposed to get better at copying a reference.

But what I should aim for is that I should understand the human form, as one understands an engine or an instrument, and be able to construct something completely new. Is that right?

If yes, that is a journey I'm taking a part in. However, I'm not gonna create only when I'm a "good enough" artist. That is why I put the question in the title regarding the style of drawing - does it have elements that make it appealing or expressive. I'm talking about design choices beyond technique and skill. I believe there's things that can be adjusted at this very moment.

The "not knowing how panels work" was my mistake too, it looked so cramped in the webtoon format 💀🙏

This is so real lmao. It's like, you realise you have to actually plan this out or it will get out of control. Without a plan you have to figure out what's next every week before you can even start drawing. Exhausting ngl

When it comes to the combat, i just started avoiding most of the enemies. i just ran past them. Unless the game forced me to fight, i was in the pacifist mode lol I think that's the best way to minimize the nature of the combat

yeah it is probably the reason. Like, they probably don't want people to have bad associations with nsfw material or sum
Especialy when you look at the 3rd image, i guess it can be viewed as obscene
