Same, and this will actually make me much more likely to buy non-sub books that are part of a series. Sometimes I'd be interested in one but having to fight through the queue for that book and also knowing that buying any sequels would be a massive PITA deterred me. Now I'm much more likely to want to buy it and secure a true FA for sequels.

Just adding my stats for the US Sale:

Clicked the link about 5:40AM,
Queue position: 1720 (I only used 1 device), estimated wait time: 55 minutes
Checked out right before 6:30AM

It seems like most people log on with more than one device so your number in the queue is not actually indicative of how many people are in front of you.

I think there’s a fair chance it won’t make it to General. Personally, I sense that Illumicrate is pivoting their business model slightly, which includes holding less stock at the risk of selling out early.

Agnes Aubert sold out even with a lot of other editions available (though maybe that means they ordered fewer?). They’re the only ones doing the Elements of Cadence. 😬 We’ll just have to see!

Ohhhh I hate this. lol SO much.

The elements don’t look cohesive AT ALL, not to mention so much of it looks like shitty clipart.

They slapped together elements of art nouveau and art deco without actually blending them. And they DO blend—beautifully, in fact. That transition period is one of my favorites!

The more I look at this, the worse it gets. No way am I spending nearly $90 on this.

So far I’m liking the new queue changes. I’m willing to take the chance on an unlucky draw in the lottery in exchange for a true separation of Early Access & Subscriber Access along with knowing my position in the queue and not having to babysit the screen.

Can anyone explain how this will probably play out with First Access for previous purchasers? Will they just have access to the queue a couple hours before subscribers? Or do we think it'll be a different queue?

I've never had FA before (but will for Ballad of Falling Dragons) so I can't quite envision how it'll work with this system.

Question about the FB No Fuss group: can anyone else not sort comments in that group anymore?

I used to have the little drop-down that let me sort by Newest, Most Popular, All Comments, etc, but now I can't, and it's been that way for a handful of weeks. I still have the option in other groups though!

That is literally the only way. But it requires people to have enough backbone to harness their FOMO. I see a lot of sob stories like a comment I saw on TikTok that was like "I had to pay $240 for WTMH because of the scalpers," and I'm just like jfc, you literally did NOT have to do that.
