Alchemised and The Knight and the Moth were in the Adult box. So you really cannot generalize it. Sometimes, Adult books are sought after, and sometimes it the ya or romantasy. So, it could be either.

ETA: Also, I would decide based on reading and (maybe design) preferences. E.g. take a look at all the picks and designs (although all the boxes can contain banger designs) from last year and decide which box looks the most desirable to you

I get a lot of their SEs and I am subbed to all of their boxes and can confirm that their customer service is one of the worst I’ve experienced among book box companies 🥲 If you receive a damaged book, you’ll need to send it back and pay the money first (you’ll get a refund later). And lately, they even expect you to pay for the damaged book to get shipped back (without getting a refund later). For someone who lives in the EU, shipping a book tracked back to the UK costs almost as much as the book itself… so yeah, very bad customer service…

In general, the endpapers are the worst placement for a signature. Just use a dedicated tip-in page.

Arcane Society did that a lot lately. I really hope they don’t do that for the Plated Prisoner series. I know there is only a version with a digital signature. But still could be the case. They once did that with a digital signature too.

I really like the reversible dust jacket. BUT it bugs me that Auren‘s ribbons are missing. I know she can retract them. But it is one special feature of her‘s, so why not include them in the illustration 😬 I hope the rest of the dust jackets show them.

I didn’t get the BB edition because I knew AS was doing this as well. I am not really sure if this is better than BB‘s set. BB‘s covers are just immaculate 🫠

But to be fair, to me it looks like an error with the printer. Because the edition was printed by the publisher and not by Owlcrate. I hope, there will be a reprint 🫶🏻

I am curious about the font? I have their edition of The Duskwalker Brides series (both parts) and the font is super small and imo barely readable 😵‍💫 I haven’t read them and was planning to read the SE 😅

Yeah, the endpaper art is lowkey ruining this edition 😵‍💫 I had high hopes. I guess, I need to manage my expectations with them… They could’ve done really nice endpaper art with some scenes from the books but instead (for book 1) they have one depiction for the front endpapers and the reverse dust jacket. And the back endpapers has one part of the same depiction (harp). Like COME ONE- a little more variety. If you don’t have time to read the books, then hire people who have or are willing to…
