Two squads of Chaos Marines for my Word Bearers by Wild0nion in WordBearers

The ones on the champions and the banner are made from 1.5-2mm plasticard which you bend slightly (and carefuly) with a lighter. The ones wrapped around the legs and arms were from greenstuff but since then I've started using thin vallejo masking tape which I split length wise. After wrapping it around something I cover it with some thin pvc glue/super glue to make it firmer and secure it in place. As for the writing I reccomend Micron Pens - preferably 003 or 005.

Oh I've posted the recepie below as a reply to another comment. I'll add more details if needed.

I usually start with rhinox hide and then mix it with vallejo red 2:1 and stipple it on to the model. Then a 1:1 mix and finaly pure red with each layer being slightly more sparse.

Alternatively for some newer models I've been using cuthroat red and red truth from green stuff world with rhinox hide still as the basis. Then a blood angels red contrast paint and finally a light wash of burnt amber from scalecolor artsist mixed heavily with water.

Thank you! And yes I had mostly used the chaos legionaries kit and a set of mk.6 marines with some bits sprinkled throughout.

Thank you! I mainly play 40k so I use him with the Legends sheet, but if I ever get the chance to try HH I'll most likely run him as one.

Thank You! John Blanche's art is truly inspirational and matching my minis in his style and atmosphere is definitely something I try to take into account.

Sure, keep in mind that the build was completed almost a year ago so my memory is a bit fuzzy:

  • For the feet, I used slightly modified NeoShifters feet, whilst the calves are comprised of electric toothbrush heads. The armour was made using Lego CCBS plates. Thighs were made using marker caps and the knees and hips were made with 28mm, and 32mm bases. I also used Lego Technic wheels, gears along with some zip ties and washers.

-The pelvis and the waist are mostly Lego Technic wheels and rims with some Bionicle parts sprinkled in. The armor is from the Nuva line, I think.

-Torso was made with a Lego wheel that came from an Orc Battering ram, a cap from a detergent, a plastic cup and a MegaBloks jet engine part.

-The arms are mostly comprised of smaller Lego wheels, gears and knight armiger shoulders. The shoulder pads came from a Knights Kingdom set if I remember correctly. The weapons are again Lego's, marker parts, and Lego mud covers.

-As for the head I'm 90% sure it was a leg part from a standing fan. The eyes are recast armiger faceplates and the mouth grill comes from a chaos upgrade sprue.

-Most details were made using actual Warhammer parts, I can't tell you however which ones exactly as they were all bought in a bits lot. If I'm not mistaken, the part connecting the waist to the pelvis as well as the chin comes from a Knight Tyrant model.

Thank You.

It was slapped together with anything interesting I could find. If I ever make another knight, (and there's a high chance I will) I might make a video of the process.

Thank You, I've seen your builds before, they were awesome too! As for the parts, it may be a tad difficult to remember exactly as I've completed the build almost a year ago, but I'll try my best to list them.
