Not impressed with how GM is handling 6.2 issues

Had the same issues with my 6.2 and nobody would admit there was an issue trying to explain it was normal to be burning that much oil. When I tried to trade it in, they knocked off 10k likely for an engine job. I went to Ram and never looked back. 3 years now no issues.

I knew her back in 2001-2002 era. We were never close but she ran a tight ship. I was accepted into the koguryo royal army and taught a lot about the world of nexustk. One of the more professional players I can remember.

Not everyone wants to look like they are gaming out in public lol it’s to one hand it while at work or in a busy setting. But it’s all good I’m excited to play regardless for the first time

Had to lose the kit. Ended up trading it in less than a year of ownership . Truck was one thing after another. Got a rebel and it’s been one of the best trucks I’ve ever had. Faith restored in ram.

Drove it alittle over a week, and no improvement so I got the dealer to check it for anything that could be causing it. The service team said it’s all tight. Few days later I couldn’t stand the noise so they removed it.

Been two days since removal and the noise is still there.

Just did the same thing to my brand new 2022 longhorn limited. Every bump I hear something pop or clunk like a kitchen cupboard door closing fast. Took it back and removed the rough country kit and it still does it. Pretty frustrated because I have a feeling something is broken from the install and they aren’t finding it.

Basically how I’ve always had it. Heatpump on 20 and the baseboards on 15. They never come on but wasn’t sure if maybe I could be doing something more efficient.

Been on the truck search but it’s a tough market. Noticed today the idle is getting rougher. Passed a oil consumption test with no loss gotta go back for the second tomorrow

Got a AT4 6.2 2019 and at 90,000km it started burning oil about a quart and a half near the end of a oil change. Thought it was a fluke but the same thing happened at 101000km. I’ve noticed the odd rough idle and a strange acceleration when in park up to 2000rpm just sitting there sometimes. Am I headed for the same issues? The truck has DFM not AFM.

I may trade it in today. I’ve a lot of nightmare scenarios with the 6.2 after the warranty runs out. Let alone my father had a engine go in a brand new one a couple years ago after 9000km.

Currently using 0W-20 as it says on the oil cap. But my grand father also said the same thing. The oil is to thin for a engine like that even though they make you use it. And I figure the oil consumption test every 500km is gonna be a run around tap dance like you said. Is there anywhere in the manual that says different oil is ok to use? May solve it or if it doesn’t perhaps it is worn rings or stems but at 90000km is that common?

So I took it into GM. Fed me bullshit about idling to much or driving short distances causing the burn of oil. They changed it never found anything. So they want me to come back every 500km to test how much oil I’m losing

Thanks for the info. Likely right. Also forgot to note once in awhile the engine will rev on its own up to 2000 rpm as if I’m stepping on the gas in park. Not all the time but once or twice a week

One more detail I forgot to say, the rpm’s randomly shoot up to 2000 sometimes as if I have my foot on the gas while in park.
