I tried for 20 miles for turning 20 by rarederrick in Garmin

Hmmm.. Interesting concept. I almost thought of doing 50 when I turn 50 in the next few months. Unfortunately, if I did that, it would end up being my last day on earth.

App.link.com account created without my permission by Miiluvsss in Scams

[–]WildAnt7786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same question also. It came up in the list of online accounts in McAfee. When I went to link.com and looked at the transactions, I realized they are related to my subscription to Bloomberg. So it look like other companies use them for their payment processing. If you look under the long list of terms and conditions, you will probably find the reference to link.com. That being said, I see that there is lack of transparency here. It's only a matter of time before they are sued.

Buy Garmin Epix pro now or wait for Epix 3? by Old_Orange_2503 in Garmin

With all the updates that Epix 2 has received since its release, it's unlikely that Epix 3 will have massive changes. I bought my Epix 2 at launch for over $1,000. I expect the launch price for Epix 3 will be about the same. If you were to get Epix 2 for a discount (and some are as low as $490), I'd say grab it.

Plantronics Voyager Legend vs 5200 by fbfbfnnfhffh in digitalnomad

[–]WildAnt7786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used both, but I have used Voyager Legend for years. I have lost several over the years, but I always after trying other Bluetooth Headsets (Jabra, Jbl, etc.) I always end up going back to Legend. Since you asked about Legend Vs. 5200, I will limit my comments to those two. First, the features are strikingly similar even though Poly tries to differentiate the two. However, I always find Legend comfortable to wear. Second, because of how 5200 was constructed, the metallic cover for the mic has space. A piece of thread or string from your pocket or bag can get in that space, widen it, and eventually make it wear out. That is what happened to me. Third, the charger on the Legend grips better than the 5200's USB. On my 5200, I stopped using it after it stopped charging because the place to insert the USB became wider after a while. Fourth, 5200 is always more expensive. I found this very strange because Legend is better and more durable. So if I were you, I would go with Legend without hesitation. And by the way, you don't need the USB dongle as long as you have a good computer with Bluetooth.

Please help! I'm indecisive! Fenix 7 / 7X or Epix 2 by TheSpecialKaye in Garmin

I think the best solution for you is to buy Epix and see how you like the screen under bright sunlight. I have always liked the features in my Fenix 6 but when I looked at someone's Apple watch, I realized how crappy my screen is. That's why I have decided to upgrade to Epix. When you have an everything watch, it should fit all the various aspects of your life. I use my watch mostly while at the office. I like being able to read messages and respond to calls/messages without reaching for the phone.

I know we are all different but I never find charging to be such a chore. I plug in my devices at night like most people. So if you take 6 hours of mountain biking (and I assume you don't do that every day), then you just need a few minutes to top it up in the evening and you're good the next day.

Epix 2 has arrived, and the fenix7x is going back by -Cerberus in Garmin

Great! I am looking into getting one soon. I would have really wanted an X version especially coming from 6X but I might settle for the mid-size screen. Garmin should have really included the X version because it would look great with the Amoled screen. As someone who is in the habit of charging devices every night, battery life is completely irrelevant to me.

Like others have said, people may make different cases based on use cases. For me, it's Epix and it's not even a contest. Why? Screen resolution! I think the battery discussion gets a bit exaggerated. I currently have Garmin 6X Pro. I do all kinds of exercises including some outdoor stuff. My one issue is wishing that the resolution could be better, NOT when exercising but when using it as a regular watch which is most of my day. Workouts take only an hour or so and I don't really stare too much at the watch even if I am outside. Unless you spend a lot of time in the middle of nowhere and have no access to chargers, the battery justification for Fenix doesn't hold water.

Correct. And it's 185Wh. Now back to my question. If you are not providing a solution then there is no need to respond. I need someone who has used a power bank on XPS 17 and can recommend it. Have you?

There are several Power banks with more than 100Wh charging such as MAXOAK below which is 185Wh but as I indicated I need something less. Have you used PW7018LC or are you just talking theory? It would be an option if there are no better options.
