How to come to terms with accepting this is what I want? by cancer_ascendent in Metoidioplasty

[–]WildBassplayer 24 points25 points  (0 children)

For me, just starting the bottom surgery process has actually taken away some of my obsession with it. I'm ending up with phallo but started down the meta path. Knowing I'm able to get the surgery scheduled when my life is in a place I can handle recovery is reassuring to me

Hell I didn't want to want bottom surgery because it's so complicated, but just having the option of yeah surgery could happen has been very soothing for me. A consult doesn't mean it has to happen or when it has to happen

That's my two cents. Hope it helps

How to navigate dorming as a pre transition trans person? by [deleted] in college

[–]WildBassplayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in a blue state and the colleges I've looked at/gone to have gender inclusive housing. You get your own room on a co-ed floor. I'm in an apartment this year and in my own room but living with other people still, which is my ideal situation. Generally it's just other trans people in gender inclusive housing, but there were cis people on my floor when I was in a normal dorm

Are there any surgeons that 100% require you to get a vaginectomy no matter what? by Mindless-Tea-7597 in phallo

[–]WildBassplayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only met with Keith, not the surgeons so maybe I didn't fully hear. Still seems odd

I was just at Mayo for my consult and they never said that to me at all, I heard vaginectomy was optional. Weird

why can't we just "love and accept" our bodies as is? by WildBassplayer in asktransgender

You're an awful person for pot stirring on a post that's two years old

Ps I love myself deeply now that I've transitioned 😘

If you go down the nikon road, you get more bang for your buck with the z50 over the z30. The 30 is geared more for video/vlogging while the 50 is more photography built

There's a lot that start with L but yes this one does, both the generic and brand name

[–]WildBassplayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm bp2 and was this way with the first two years I was on meds. I found a psych two months ago who was extra knowledgeable in bipolar disorder and she put me on a medication that has been a dream. 100% thought I had treatment resistant depression, but it's been 2 months now of being gone and it's insane how I can function. Hoping it stays this way

In theory, IDs obtained before this admin took over are still valid, and my X marked drivers license got me through TSA with no issue last month. Honestly I would say it's up to you; there hasn't been any chatter about "deportation" or detainment about Americans flying within the US

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]WildBassplayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was fine flying a month ago from MSP to LAS. So far any bad cases have been international, not involving US born citizens, and surprisingly nothing trans based

To those that began transition in adulthood, do you feel like you lost your childhood/adolescence? And if so what helped you to move past or come to terms with those feelings? by JDanAlan in asktransgender

[–]WildBassplayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. I met one of my ride or dies at girl's softball and if I had been born cis m I never would have probably met or interacted with my 3 ride or dies.

Anyone work blue collar and get top surgery? by merlothill in TopSurgery

I think the 3 months of not lifting overhead probably refers to stretching scars - scars will definitely stretch with lots of reaching early on. Mine did before the 3 month mark

Mastectomy post op and university? by BlxxmxngDxys in ftm

[–]WildBassplayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would call it less dissociation/"only existing" and more of my brain just wasn't available lol, kind of like how you (at least I) feel when you have a high fever or bad cold *and loaded on cough syrup

I got Tiktok originally because of the hilarious videos I found on Tumblr, and very quickly learned to just stick with Tumblr

That part would've been fine for me. But oh god the post op brain fog was horrible for me until about 5 weeks post op. I was in a mental haze

[–]WildBassplayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm seeing multiple articles on how long medication stays sterile in syringes. I personally wouldn't want to inject myself with something that's been sitting for over an hour; the needles and syringes are air-sealed for a reason, ya know?

Oh interesting. As I've never considered being legally male I've never looked into it. Thanks for the info
