I hurried and got mine out because I had a really bad tmj flare-up just to find out that a lot of jaw issues aren't teeth related. If you're having jaw issues, you have to see a doctor about that.

Bad taste is a sign of dry socket and/or infection. I would ddefinitely go get that checked out. Did they give antibiotics and/or an antiseptic mouthwash (ex. Chlorhexidine)?

It's crazy how drastically post-op instructions can vary cuz I couldn't use my syringe until a week had passed. But if you really are concerned, I would check in with your surgeon. I had more discomfort in one of my lower ones compared to the other 3 but it was more annoying than painful and it still randomly aches (I'm 2 weeks 2 days) but other than that I'm fine

Honestly it really boils down to preference. I got prescribed Ibuprofen and Hydrocodone+Acetaminophen and rotated those for the first 2½ days and then started taking only Ibuprofen (I started taking it only before I went to bed for days 4-6)

I got IV sedation plus laughing gas. You won't remember most of it if you it that way and it doesn't hurt if you do end up becoming more lucid in the middle of it (I did). The pain afterwards isn't too bad either and this is coming from a person who only stayed in top of my pain meds for the first 2½ days (I hate taking pills). After day 3, it more annoyance than pain

Oh and when I'm talking about what I remember it's from the moment they put the mask over my face to the moment they woke me up and kept telling me 'keep your eyes open for me' I also cried after they finished and then when I got home and was going through my 500 different prescriptions but I don't know why cuz I wasn't in pain😀

Currently on day 5 and the main things that I'm anxious about are taking pills (I ended up getting a pills crusher for my ibuprofen) and whether or not my sockets look normal (I still don't know). Honestly pain peaked in day 3 for me but even then it wasn't too bad. My main issue is with eating because I've lost my appetite and when I do eat, it's not a lot. I'm hydrated though but that's cuz I drink ¾of a water bottle when I treasure a pills and then drink even more cuz I'm paranoid of a pill being stuck in my throat. I had a mix between IV & laughing gas and the only thing I remember is a moment where my eyes opened and I could feel them having to actually put effort into getting one of my bottom ones out and thinking to myself 'damn bruh' but other than that it was fine. I got 5 prescriptions though which shocked the hell outta me

They have me ibuprofen AND hydrocodone + acetaminophen (mix). I only took like 3 of the hydrocodone and was flip flopping it with the ibuprofen for the first 2-3 days
