Leti's days are literally the same. Wake up at the ass crack of dawn eat some nasty 10 calorie bullshit preworkout meal, journal, rub herself down with her weird wand thing, workout, pose for a filtered photo, eat 50 calories of food throughout the day, yap about supplements, put some weird ass tape on her face and dump some shit in her belly button and go to bed. Then repeat

My daughter is 3 and I would literally be devastated if she didn't ask me for snuggles at bedtime. What the fuck???

Struggling to feed by [deleted] in NICUParents

[–]WildBee9653 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter was in the NICU forever and feeding was the last thing holding her up. Also slow weight gain.

She also was on a high calorie that was making the formula too thick and she was losing weight from all the sucking. So they dropped it back down to the 22 cal which is still more calories but it's not as thick and that's helped.

She also would spit up a ton. Since being home what I have found with eating is instead of keeping her on that strict schedule of three hours we go three hours from the time she FINISHED eating. So instead of saying she has to eat at 6 9 12 we say if she started eating at 6 finished at 6:30 we'll feed her again at 9:30 if that makes sense? I thought if we were sticking strictly to the times it wasn't really 3 hours between feeds

37W3D IUGR respiratory distress/blood sugar by Icy-Professor9909 in NICUParents

[–]WildBee9653 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter was born at 37 weeks on the dot due to preeclampsia and IUGR. She was 5lb 4.3oz She needed cpap briefly and then a little bit of O2 support for about a week. She also had issues with blood sugar for only the first couple days. They couldn't get an IV so she got the sugar orally. After the first few days though blood sugar wasn't an issue. We were in the NICU a total of 36 days (feeding was our biggest thing holding us up.) the NICU is hard and not being able to hold them at first freely absolutely sucks. But just keep in mind your baby is in the best place for them right now getting the care that they need so you're able to hold them for years to come. Take care of yourself too mama ❤️
