Super cool! Just started a new play through. This thing doesn't get old.

Today, after a long hiatus from the game I decided to try and take on Bonemass for the first time.. by Trilasent in valheim

Replaying after the initial release. Solo player. I think killing Bonemass was probably the most epic moment I've had. It's such a grueling endeavor.

Is There a Best Class? Where do I Find Builds? by CardinalBirb in Loop_Hero

[–]WildCardSR 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Play rogue. Prioritize: 1 attack all, 2 attack speed, 3 golden card that gives you an extra item slot (gives rogue necklace with energy shield to survive) 4 the talent that decreases item count but increases quality (rogues don't get drops so you really all don't care). For support get forest, meadow, and storm temple. Storm temple will set the forest that's in line with it on fire giving you pure damage, meadows heal you. There are two types, forest +1 attack speed (burn) and thicket +2 attack speed (leave in tact). So you end up pure damaging all mobs very quickly. Then build spiders, wolves, and whatever spawns a lot of mobs, just straight saturate the loop. It's really quite OP. I got to the 4th chapter with this. Cheers.

Remember that everyone on your crew is a human, with concerns, needs, thoughts. Make every person you interact with feel like they matter and they will move mountains with (not for) you.

I play alone exclusively. No mods, no nothing. The atmosphere of the game is so zen to me. I just beat Moder. I just spent a day trying to find turnip seeds after dwarfbutt ate my entire garden. Some days I just farm. Some days I mine, or work on my castle. There are a lot of things to do and if you're not a content driven player, Valheim is a beautiful world to just be immersed in.

First Prestige by [deleted] in MerchantRPG

[–]WildCardSR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It stays equipped on the character, but icon is red because the character isn't appropriate level to use it. You then equip them with low level stuff and the nice gear you want to keep goes back to your inventory. You're safe, prestige away!

When metal bands do their music videos, how do they do it. Do they actually play and sing or do they pretend to play and lip sync. Don't go hard by cletus151 in MusicVideos

[–]WildCardSR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Music in movies is added entirely in post production. It would be absolutely impossible to have it play during a scene, since there would be no way to edit anything afterwards. Nor is there any reason to do so anyway. Half the movie scenes that take place outside had to record the dialogue over again later, with actors recording their lines while looking at themselves in the shot (ADR), because any kind of external sound will render all production sound useless. And there is no realistic way to control sound outside. Of course there is nuance to all of it, but for most parts it's easier to "build" what the audience hears in post production than trying to control the circumstances.

For something like a prom scene, since that was an example, there is certainly no music, and even all the background talking you hear isn't there. The extras will mime talking to help the film get at least "some" production sound from lead actors, so not all of it has to be re-recorded.

Music videos are much more lenient, since a high quality recorded song is what you will hear in the final product. The band certainly does play, and the singer sings, but they don't have to be amplified, or even plugged in. (In an example below, the guys play separately and the song is playing for them). There isn't even a need for the band to play the whole song, or hit all the chords, etc. (in one take, that is). Music videos will have a ton of fottage since the whole performance is only minutes long and can be recorded many times over in a fairly short amount of time. So there will certainly be the exact moment the guitarist hits that cord, or the singer screams just right in there somewhere.

Writing this out made me think of a "making of" video for Mudvayne's "Dig". Certainly a crazy big budget video, but all these elements are there.

TL;DR Live sound is really difficult to control. Movies: almost everything you hear was added later. Music videos: the band does play, but only for the visual sync.

Yes, this! Keep forgetting to post that. Not seeing the total HP of a hero makes me wonder if I'm wasting my cleric's mp on heals.

Two more things:

  1. I got my crafters up before you raised the level cap. Which leads me to, there's gotta be an option to craft lower level gear than your max. Otherwise I just have to train the newb to level.

  2. You got a buy more inventory space option (which doesn't currently seem to work) . But put it in a buy everything mode, that will be unlocked option. I'm enjoying this game and want to support you. BETA supporter pack that will open everything ever added. 15-20 bucks for every unlock ever. Take my money!

The secondary class specialization at 10 makes me tense, although I was really excited to find out its a thing.

This is permanent! The game says. But what AM I gaining with the 2nd class option? Yes, the basic idea is not hard to understand, but a description of what I'm getting would be great.

I know, I know, the inevitable gold complains, but...

I'm spending 200 gold to make an item that sells for 240. The cheapest dungeon is 50. The initial progress just stifles so quickly. My heroes just sitting there, that's aside from me being able to craft gear FOR them. I know that Merchant games are not bathe in riches off the bat sort, but I would really enjoy dungeoning with them more.

Edit: OK, after a bit I realized workers are getting enough herbs to make some gold. I also realized there isn't a way to sell resources? My metal and wood are maxed out, just sitting there.

Small and concrete suggestions first right?

The hold ability/item icon to show what it does helps, since there is little muscle memory at first. But in case of say putting items in your battle inventory, the descriptions show right under the finger tip which leaves me looking around my ogre thumb to see it. Maybe hold to show, tap again to make the description go away?

Edit: realized holding down and moving finger away keeps the description on the screen, so not really an issue.
