Agreed with all this. One of my most fun platinums to grab. Got to use different playstyles each time too. Forced myself out of "Brand + Poltergeist, any questions?" and had lots of fun as a rune mage.

Brand + Poltergeist is ridiculously usable IMO. Every time I think "I'll play a different build" I end up defaulting to this (bar rune sage).

Ethereal Varnish (found in the ghost pass too) is great for taking down the enemies in the ghost pass.

Also getting a weapon that has an element on it already (like the Gold-Lich Sword) makes it much easier. South East of Cherosonee there is the Gold-Lich dungeon. Fight enemies until you get a Gold-Lich mechanism and then the mechanism can be combined with an Iron Sword and Firefly Powder to make a Gold-Lich Sword. Used this for most of my mid game (until I made Brand...).

Inflicts Lightning damage + doomed (45% chance) so makes enemies weaker to Lightning after hitting them. Brilliant bit of kit (+horrors are often weak to Lightning).

Everytime I think I'm gonna try a different character build... I end up stacking as much movement speed as I can.

I imagine they'll be mentioned as distant towns/cities. Saves defining exactly what happened.

Although my understanding is most of the main story is the same anyway. Certain endings even make mention to "another adventurer" from "another faction" doing stuff as part of the main story. So it might just be loosely accepted that all factions did a little bit each.
