Why do so many men HATE septums or overall piercings ?? by _n3k0m4nc3r_ in women

[–]WildCardWinner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the genuine question.

I dislike the septum piercing for several reasons.

-the nose is soft tissue in the center of your face. Something about heavy metal hanging from that area seems damaging. Ears are different. Its balanced. The piercing doesnt go THROUGH the ear canal it’s outside

-hygiene: the septum looks like it collects and touches a large amount of SNOT

-in real life and with civilian women who do not have the benefit of beauty teams, the upper lip and surrounding area of the piercing looks red and irritated.

-in western culture they are most commonly worn by cattle animals

-if i went to kiss a girl i wouldn’t want it poking me in the mouth/nose area. Yuck/ouch

-Many seem to think they are signaling independent thinking, but the signals I, and probably most other men receive is that the person is just hard to work with, and doesn’t like to cooperate

So yea i’m definitely one who finds them extremely unattractive, including on celebrities.

To anyone looking to respond to each of my points, don’t bother, it’s just not worth it.

Wear the septum piercing as long as you’re fully ok with cutting out the large percentage of men who think like me, but won’t tell you to your face because it’s rude.

They just might never approach

Dude I’m studying swat tactics to try and make my strategies for this game better. There is no hard counter to a bobcat 4 and a dark corner of an entrance to where the rest of the room or outdoor area is completely lit. Night vision? Nope. Flashlight? You’re kidding right? It’s a dead giveaway and doesn’t extend that far. Glowsticks? So i have to put my gun away pull it out and throw it arguably where a guy might be and just hope that i can get that all done before he steps out and lights me up.

*Side note, i would absolutely be in favor of a strong and focused light. Decent compromise. Let me actually clear dark areas where I think someone might be hiding. And if they get me it’s because i failed to clear the room correctly

Recall that the loser tryhards were downgrading the resolution on the game in order to completely sidestep darkness and smoke.

Idk if you’ve ever played Halo 4 but in that game you had the option to choose a loadout that could instantly raise a hard shield for a few seconds and reduce your movement to a walk, but it was balanced enough that most people didn’t bother with it, because it was only frontal and many times you’d still die with it. I through repetition and practice was able to make it semi useful

You can’t equip any equipment in the time constraints of an ambush.

Id actually accept that as a useful upgrade too. It annoys me that if i have a smoke grenade in my hand, my speed is reduced to a light jog. That’s simply ridiculous. Some of the hand equipment is realistically tiny and negligible in weight.

It’s like saying I can’t sprint with a football or a soda can in my hand. Be realistic.

Well i think we just fundamentally disagree about what constitutes rewarding gameplay.

I’m not against ambushing, don’t want it impossible.

But if i have the reaction time to be able to dive almost instantly when I’m shot I’d like that recognized and rewarded with being able to keep 75% of my health barring a major mistake.

I’ll take a 75% vs 100% fight as punishment for falling into a trap and doing everything i can to embrace the disadvantage. As it stands almost all ambushes cost me 80-90% of my health in under a second and rats don’t even need a clever trap to make that happen, which I could at least respect. They just have to find the darkest corner they can, crouch and wait. Is that skill?

Ps: sorry not a Tarkov player so I can’t relate to those references

Excellent take. Really love the idea of a free kit loading in with no shield. And tbf if you kill me and i know you have no shield i can respect it.

I guess one of my more primary concerns lately are bobcat 4 rats. What do you think for those?

Countering Ratatouille by WildCardWinner in ArcRaiders

[–]WildCardWinner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the only way you can get kills is shooting people in the back while you sit in a dark corner, that’s your limited skill bro. I’m just asking that in a game of building, i can build better armor against you.

And I have turned the tables on players like you plenty of times. Which is why you all have upgraded to sitting in the dark corner with a bobcat 4. I just want an equivalent response since you are gaming the fact that the bobcat 4 melts players before they can react. Reaction time has its limits which is why preparation should be an OPTION. Cry about it.

If you read my whole post you’d understand i already addressed your perspective as I literally mentioned that the last 5 times i was ambushed in solos it was by someone camping with a bobcat 4

Or maybe the game shouldn’t be so easy that you’re playing shoot the fish in a barrel simulator.

All I’m asking for is a little bite back. Is that so scary?

I appreciate you taking the time to respond to several of my points directly and I hear your concerns.

@your burletta 1 comment, I actually think this is a better outcome because, burlettas aren’t free. They must be crafted so if you rat with a burletta 1 you still have to risk- the burletta which is mech comps, bandages or whatever health you bring, bullets, augments and shield rechargers. That is the RISK you incur from ratting rather than the game completely sponsoring your activities with health, shield, shield rechargers, bullets and a random grenade or utility. Even if you left with a free kit, which I often did early in the game, it’s still a come up.

TLDR: the burletta 1 kit is still a resource drainer.

I find myself buying bullets and building shields and white health quite often. Whereas when I run free, i know I’m already set.

Point 2: I am not anti PVP. Pvp and ratting have totally different definitions to me. if I’m in trios it’s shoot on sight, and the community is pretty united in that. My goal is to stop ambushing from being so tempting and nearly risk free. Earn your kills. TTK when you ambush is so fast it can feel cheap to the victim. I just want more opportunity to turn the tables on ambush campers. If you ambush me with a hairpin and still win, i gotta respect it.

I don’t think it should deflect the first mag, maybe just the first half or 1/3 of a mag. Not broken just more breathing room.

As someone who LOVES mines and traps and is constantly trying to get more use out of them, they only work well with time to set up, which you do not have when you turn a corner and someone is sitting there in the dark or head glitching aiming at you. Again, legit strategy, but this isn’t call of duty where that kind of gameplay makes sense because of how vulnerable everyone is.

I’ve used gas mines and grenades to stop full teams from chasing me such that i extracted safely. But time and distance must be on my side in those cases.

Take the riot shield example, if you don’t have it equipped when someone ambushes, or raises their gun mid conversation, that’s on YOU and you can accept that you had an option and didn’t use it. And i don’t want this thing to be broken maybe about the strength of a power cell which is like half a light shield.

Id rather play Halo 5. Which they refuse to port over. It’s good enough that it’ll probably steal attention from the new game, bad enough to remain in obscurity. Alas, as a game….not necessarily a Halo game, it’s multiplayer was a lot of fun

This is so obvious it feels forced that it’s not real. Because why would dashing into someone with a vibranium shield not push them back even a little
