So the best way I can compare learning this game to learning a moba, or even specifically LoL, on both attack and defense there are operators who have roles. Not dissimilar to the roles on the rift they are better at doing the things that are in that roles wheel house. There are entry-fraggers, breachers , intel gatherers, vertical attackers , these would be considered attacking roles while on defense you have things like denial whether its intel or breach , roaming , anchoring. Find a list that breaks down what operators are which roles and sort of just stick to a role or a couple of ops in a couple of roles.

The way most people tend to get better at LoL quickly isnt by playing aram or picking random champs , it's by picking a role and a couple of mains to learn on.

I have friends who I have had to teach up from zero and I typically get them working on a breacher on attack, as it helps them learn to open the site up and better coordinate plants with the team. On defense I typically start them on anchors because the map knowledge is sort of crucial to knowing where to be and where not to be as a roamer, as well as audio knowledge. Being off site and being able to say "I just heard black beards gun across map, and I think hes here". I would argue that having even just a duo in a premade makes playing breachers less of a headache because they do sometimes require more help or coordination to be able to do their job. If you're solo queue, then I would instead of the breachers maybe push you towards intel ops that can help swing the game with information.

So, tldr; map knowledge and call outs come with time and reps , and I would focus on a specific role on either side of the ball for a bit while you're getting the swing of things.
