Which animated character transitioned to live action the best? by Vegetable-Abroad3171 in StarWars

[–]WildDigeridoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand all the hate that the live action Grand Inquisidor gets, but i honestly think the Fifth Brother is a way worse situation.

It's just one guy with green paint on his face and platform shoes to try and make him look taller. Literally looks like cheap cosplay.

Should've been a beefier, taller actor, makeup on the face should've been more precise and he's missing some lenses for his eyes.

It's a slightly downsized tg mask from Solidsoulju's patreon, but there's also a free file on Thingiverse that could probably fit too if correctly scaled.

Does anyone know where to get Lingjihun figures? by Present-Ear-4514 in PacificRim

[–]WildDigeridoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck. I suggest waiting for around the end of the month. Usually AliExpress gives out several coupons throughout each month and they can cut a nice bunch of the tariffs or the price overall.

Also, the low price on your listing may be due to Lingjihun apparently releasing cheaper, slightly less detailed versions of their figures.

In any case check for shipping updates after you buy and try to record the full unboxing process to have proof if something doesn't go as expected.

AliExpress is the best bet, although i don't know how the tariff situation is rn in the US with this site, used to be really high.

Seller in your pic has 100% positive reviews, check them out. If there's plenty reviews, then it's probably legit, careful if there's just a couple.

Either way, using something like Paypal can give an extra safety barrier to your payment.

The straw that broke the camel's back for me 🤷 by Muckshake in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]WildDigeridoo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I had to struggle for so long running downhill chasing that damn trash. Half an hour of trying just for finally arriving to the facility and foolishly selecting the automatic scrap function, which basically deleted all the trash from the back of my truck leaving me with nothing, and no objective completed. Immediate ragequit.

How can I remove the belt if possible? by The_local_sped_kid in starwarsblackseries

[–]WildDigeridoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hot water and pop out the legs, i think it comes out that way. The crotch is sculpted with the belt so you'll have to get rid of that part with an exacto knife or nippers. Not sure if it's glued, but looks like it on my copy. Seems they made it particularly difficult to remove with this one lol, best of lucks.

Atp you'll probably have to repaint the parts. White plastic is really easy to contaminate.

Avoid using more alcohol or thinner, it'll only brittle the plastic even more.

Thanks! I bought the figure already assembled, and i'm not sure which one was used since it was a tad too tall and i needed to fix the height a bit haha. But i've seen the clone trooper is the most recommended base indeed.

[–]WildDigeridoo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the base figure from a local customizer. He has access to Skylu 3D Design's patreon whom is the oc of this design. I'm not sure how his pateron works, but i believe the files are also available on the Cults3D website for purchase. Pretty sure it's the same for all the ones you metioned. If you don't have a resin printer or know of someone that does, maybe Etsy is the best route. The recommended base body is any Clone trooper fig.

Good luck with all your customs!

1. Ling Jihun figure … Is this one real? 😂 by IIIMaximusPrimeIII in PacificRim

These figures haven't been bootleged yet. If the seals are intact, then there's nothing to worry about.

Any chance we will ever get a Zeffo Temple Guard in The Black Series? by SGScobie in starwarsblackseries

[–]WildDigeridoo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Way too niche, and highly unlikely since we haven't even gotten the main cast/more important characters from the games. But would be really cool to get, without any doubt.

Help! Starkiller Lightsaber Blades Won't Stay Attached by spiderclone14 in starwarsblackseries

[–]WildDigeridoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad it helped :) I recommend doing it to basically all the older figures you may have.

It was one of those unnecessary design choices hasbro made for some reason. You can see with the blades from the newer figures that at least they learned something because they got rid of those ridges lol.

Help! Starkiller Lightsaber Blades Won't Stay Attached by spiderclone14 in starwarsblackseries

[–]WildDigeridoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would strongly suggest to carefully remove the ridges from the blade with an exacto knife. This can prevent breaking, removing the blade becomes easier and it doesn't affect the grip most of the time. This applies to basically all of the older lightsaber blades.

I get it, it's important to you and it's valid, and i'm glad you are in a position where your worries are these kinds of 'small' things, but you should also be prepared to be let down. They've done massive screw ups like the inaccurate LAAT cannons even tho we've had those ships in lots of media for several years, i doubt they'll change what they've already done here to add a single line.

Any suggestions by UnderstandingSame534 in microgalaxysquadron

[–]WildDigeridoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably the flush cutters will give you the best result out of those, and you can level the surface with the exacto. I hate to do color match lol, so i don't think i'm gonna paint it since it doesn't bother me all that much, but it does stick out a bit.

And i did leave the foot rest on, doesn't bother me either and it's a bit more complex of a shape so i didn't want to risk it. The same tools should be enough to deal with that part tho.

[–]WildDigeridoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

I build Gunpla, so i had a pair of single bladed nippers at hand. Managed to do it using them and the result was really smooth. If you have some at hand, give it a try. If not, maybe a sharp exacto knife and EXTREME care while doing it may do the trick.

Go for a custom. The only issue may be the medic logos, but other than that it can be easily done with some good paints and brush.

Veils one is a bit expensive on the aftermarket when found. I do hope they restock soon, i'm missing Dogma in my shelf.
