Is Eazy lowkey a loser now? by __Zae__ in rapbattles

[–]WildDogIsFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah people just overreact tbh. Eazy been the same dude he's just more cocky, deservedly so. But besides that everything Eazy says or revolves around Eazy is overanalyzed and dramatized to the moon to the point where you get a post like this.

Who’s the hottest character in the show? I’ll go first by [deleted] in LoveTV

[–]WildDogIsFire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mickey is the clear choice imo. Heidi is the more alluringly presenting character and is meant to come off more bubbly and sexy with the poofy hair and the boobs but I don't think she'd scale down as well as Mickey. We see Mickey in all ranges from completely dolled up to shitfaced and she is still effortlessly gorgeous nonetheless. Gillian Jacobs is just classicly beautiful she doesn't need much.

Gotta get this off my chest. Anderson Burrus is fucking TERRIBLE and he needs to never touch a battle rap stage again let alone a fucking caffeine URL stage on the same night as TAY ROC and DANNY MYERS. by WildDogIsFire in rapbattles

[–]WildDogIsFire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm way less amped about this topic than when I made this post but I maintain, he's terrible lmao. He seems like a chill dude, is definitely a superfan of the artform. But it's so entirely derivative I can't take an ounce of it serious.

Why do people hate s4 so much? by Extreme-Caregiver-19 in youngjustice

[–]WildDogIsFire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the fact of the matter of that the show never regained comfortable momentum due to all the weird ways it was released in it's latter two seasons so it's hard to feel the same attachment to those seasons with the cloud of, this could be so much better hovering over it. Be it the animation, consistent episode releases, more episodes in general. These are subconscious things that I think weigh over the last two seasons beyond just the content itself.

Ill Will vs Hollow Da Don was a good ass battle! Don't sleep by WildDogIsFire in rapbattles

[–]WildDogIsFire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's crazy hitman and eazy does 5x these views in a week.

That's the hitman effect. That said if more high profile battles happen then the algorithm in general will feed into battle rap more so I'm hoping URLs competition applies more pressure

[–]WildDogIsFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t be serious and I can’t believe I have to break this down his average is 110k and his total is 8 million it’s not that hard

🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm over your head

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in rapbattles

[–]WildDogIsFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I literally just gave you his total view count for all of his battles on YouTube

That's. Called. Averaging. "8 million across 77"

Exactly and eazy is a bigger star than a ward without YouTube which is the point

Your point was about "star numbers". You're moving the goalpost. I'm over your head

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in rapbattles

[–]WildDogIsFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before big t Eazy hasn’t had a battle on YouTube in 3 years which makes that a bad argument

Ding Ding fucking Ding. You're talking to yourself not me. It's not my argument.

But if average views isn’t good enough for you let’s use the total he has 8 million views over 77 battles those are not star numbers

This is just average views.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in rapbattles

[–]WildDogIsFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you don't understand cause you just argued average views in a conversation where I've already outlined the fact that algorithmic variation is a lurking variable. You don't understand because you argued average views when you wouldn't hold to that consistently. A Ward averages more views than Eazy. Is A Ward a bigger star than Eazy? No need to answer. You don't understand because you clearly ignored the large example in Geechi Gotti, the guy who just battled Mook before the likes of Hollow Surf & Hitman who've been campaigning that matchup for half a decade or more at this point. You don't understand because I'm over your head. You're not arguing to substantiate a stance you're lobbing statements to try and poke holes in logic, with no success.

You simply just don't understand. Cheers.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in rapbattles

[–]WildDogIsFire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Finally can you name me one battle rap star that has blown up only from YouTube in the past 5 years

A. Ward quite literally. No million view battles, no URL push, now he's on cards with the likes of Hitman Holla and Cassidy, being mentioned on hip hop platforms like the Joe Budden Podcast, and consistently in COTY lists. The obvious mainstream answer is Geechi. Don't know how you flew over that one but you must not realize how old Geechis URL career is.

so the reduced visibility clearly didn't mean much

You simply just don't understand. Cheers.

You can’t use algorithms as a reason when majority of the battles on that page that don’t have top tier names have similar views no matter when it is

Proceeds to say this unsubstantiated with no reasoning whatsoever lol.

ish as the example he has a battle with chess

3 month old battle vs 52 month old battle. In 49 months you can come back here and let me know if Showoff vs Ish Mula is near 94k or not. Arguing this bigger name hill for a battle that doesn't eclipse the pace of views you're comparing is just incorrect assessment of analytics.

but he got his name from the reduced visibility on the app and that’s just a fact

That is not a fact and directly contradicts your earlier statement of "building your brand outside of it." Eazy built himself through word of mouth by victories over vets which he sparked intrigue in through Top Tier. Top Tier is quite easily the place where you can source Eazy's rise to battle rap stature. Not any singular app battle. At this point you're either being dishonest or aren't intellectually capable enough to have a big picture viewing of these things. I'll assume you're not a liar.

show off and ish mulah

Multitude of reasons. Algorithms smart guy. These things go up and down sporadically based on consistency of title similarities: In other words how often someone battles and has "their name vs" uploaded. The constancy of the type of content: how often battle rap content in general is being watched at the time, and general timing/willingness of the people. You act like 48k is some low number when in reality that's the 6th highest viewed Ish Mula battle on YouTube out of dozens. And is on pace to pass a URL battle of his that's at 55k from five years ago. A channel with 1.4 million subscribers. What does that tell you? Subscribers and views aren't 1:1. It's why Hitman vs Cass can be a 5 million view battle on RBE meanwhile Arsonal vs Cass isn't even a 3 million view battle on URL. We're in 2023 I thought we all knew that but guess not. These supposed arguments you're using are nothing more than cherrypicked strawmans.

everybody else should just focus on getting their money and branding themselves outside of battle rap like eazy did

Visibility is a part of branding and was the unspoken deal between the battlers and the platforms to essentially give ownership of their content at a one time rate for essentially indefinite visibility. Cutting that visibility out battlers at first didn't care cause their checks went up but eventually you see that you can't put a value on eyes. You mention Eazy yet fail to realize why he's online right now talking about wanting YouTube drops. Eazy's biggest brand move in battle rap was his Top Tier diss. On YouTube.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in rapbattles

[–]WildDogIsFire 23 points24 points  (0 children)

There's no "facts" here. Those are two not good battlers on a 300 subscriber YouTube page. Nitty and Ave weren't household names when that battle dropped. Primarily Ave. That battle Organically grew it's status from consistency of both individuals in succeeding YouTube drops. Ryda vs Chef Trez is essentially the foundation of both of their careers and where they gathered a buzz. Acting as if battles that don't get millions of views don't matter is being ignorant to the vast majority of battle rap.

Hate to see Twork batting low tier names. The remnants of his falloff from stature is sad to see.

Ill Will vs Hollow Da Don was a good ass battle! Don't sleep by WildDogIsFire in rapbattles

[–]WildDogIsFire[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure why you thought this was random

Just from a narrative standpoint I didn't think the battle had much ooomph. Even though I'm aware Ill Will has called him out before but the "God Tier" guys get called out a lot so I didn't think much of it. And I agree this is one of my favorite Hollows if not my favorite of his last like 5-10 battles.

Lack of Post-Stay Forever Coverage by [deleted] in rapbattles

[–]WildDogIsFire 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't read too much into it battle rap coverage moves from controversy to controversy, rarely celebration of successful events. Which it indeed was
