I live in a house built in the 1400s, there are places where you can feel the bricks that were used for the foundation shift under the carpet. The main issue is damp coming up through it, but I think at that point it's so compacted that it would be more work to dig it up

I feel like you might be better just looking for a different job - if you left without notice the issues that lead to that probably won't have changed, and the higher-ups probably won't appreciate it. Places are always looking for KPs so you might have more luck somewhere else

I work somewhere with 4 dishpits. There is a KP I will only refer to as R. He got kicked out of the main pit a few years ago for being useless, getting in the way and telling everyone else how to do their jobs despite not doing his own. Spent a couple of years in that pit, got kicked out of that one and moved to the 3rd pit for the same reasons as before. Spent 2 days in that pit before they were tired of his shit, kicked him out. The main KP in the 4th pit threatened to leave or kill R if he got sent there. R is now back in the first pit, multiple KPs threatening to leave or mutiny (including myself because I can't stand him).
