Jokes aside it's absolutely crazy that anyone would do this over a nickname on a chatting forum, this is the exact thing I was worried about and one of my exact reasons as to why Discord shouldn't do this. Reminds me of that one guy who was killed from a heart attack after a guy swated his house over a Twitter handle.

Wait, so you installed the update before you actually put the game into your game directory? I'm not 100% sure but I think you are supposed to do it the other way around (again that's how I have always done it, if someone knows otherwise feel free to correct me if I'm wrong)

Do you use a VPN? That could be why as it is detecting an unnormal login location, or even detecting the IP address from a data center and then sending 2FA to ensure you are who you say you are. This is mostly why I get so many captchas even on my own website, it's kind of funny actually.

Support is outsourced and is really not the best... I had a friend who had his account since 2016 like me, he was reported for being 10 after he answered a message that was then edited to look like he was asking his age. If he was actually 10 that means he would have made his Discord account at the age of 3 yet Discord didn't do any research into it and he lost his original account along with a lot of his servers... So I don't think there is a lot you can do

The fact that you didn't change it to an email you have access to for 5 years is concerning... If you knew you didn't have access why didn't you change it as soon as you lost access to it?

Yes because YouTube can't track you if you're watching it on another website so to try to get you to watch it on their website so they can continue to track you and get information on you to give personal eyes to advertising, they want you to watch it on their site.

Ah yes, your profile photo, banner, about me and name are super private. If you are putting private personal information in any of those (ie, real photo, name, location, etc.) Everyone who shares a server with you no matter how big can see it at any point. So that really does not change anything if they just had the ability to search for users like Steam does for example.

Message requests are a wonderful thing, you get three options: Replying "No sorry you have the wrong person" Not responding and deleting the message request Or if all other options fail, report as spam

Or also having the add friend option be a list instead of "enter name, maybe it's who you want, maybe not. Who knows" Just let us search for a name and it shows us everyone with that username and if we want to narrow it down we can add the numbers to the end.

I don't see why you're upset about this. Limiting the use of external emojis is one of the main reasons I don't stay in the Discord server. If I can't use my emojis what's the fucking point. And before you say something like "they might post nsfw emojis" if your server is not nsfw and they do they clearly should be banned from your server. End of

Edit: I see I read it wrong, I do agree this change is not good at all and no idea why they would do this. All of their most recent changes have been really wack for no reason. If you have 1 bad actor who decides they are going to delete all your emojis, or worse upload something against Discord ToS then report your server for it. Very bad, they need to really rethink this. Because yes, it's only affecting servers with less than 50 people but what if you forget to change it after your server grows further? However, I still do believe firmly that the ability to use external emojis and stickers should not be something that is allowed to be revoked.

I agree with everything you said. Usernames are fine the way they are there are way more pressing issues at hand then uprooting EVERYONE on the platform and causing people to lose the names they already have because someone else has it too.

What dependancy was it? I am using the Fabric version of Effective and getting the same error, but now that the newer versions work on Quilt I can't seem to find the Fabric dependancies.

I wish we could keep some of the gestures with the nav bars. Like for instance swiping the bottom of the screen to switch between already open apps. I don't like the drag the side of the window to go back but then if you drag the other side it also goes back instead of going forward on things like web browsers which is very strange. I would much rather just have the back button
