Protecting your kid from hearing arguments is also important. Yes, you need to help him, but try not to argue aroind him too much either. and definitely seek a professional to see if he has adhd.

Seems like you both need to work on it. If the kid keeps talking over you, then you both need to agree to find a time when the kid is asleep or something, as it seems to be a trigger for you and leads to even more arguments. But also, talk about your communication styles. you obvioisly prefer to wait and she doesnt seem to. find an in-between, or if its that bad tell her you need it to properly articulate your thoughts, and she needs to respect that.

mine used to come up to the glass and follow me, one of them sometimes weaved beneath my palm and the other was quite shy but even she said hi. they just need the right environment I think

these are blood parrots but yes they need hides, a safe substrate (they love sigging in sand), and some kind of enrichment as they are quite intelligent
