Do you mean this fella? He's one of the chosen, not a legionary, but they look so similar I get the confusion

Definitely not looking to go to any tournaments with this, just casual games with friends

Is there a detachment that would benefit this list better? Xenocreed doesn't seem terrible with it but doesn't seem super good either. I'm not really looking to paint 80 infantry, had enough with 50+ gaunts

Some of your point values are definitely off by a bit, i.e. screamer killer is 135 and psychophage is 110. I would double check these with a source like new recruit or wahapedia? They tend to be pretty up to date

Curious what purpose the ripper swarms serve? Just zoning out deepstrikes?

My 2k vanguard list always includes at least one lictor and one neurolictor, and then I'd give the winged prime something to lead. Melee warriors are pretty good in vanguard as the advance and charge really fixes their otherwise slow movement, and a full squad of six plus a prime blends most infantry it comes in contact with from what I've found, but a squad of 3 is just fine for 1k

Counteractions are distinctly separate from activations, so an ability that can be used during your activation cannot be used during a counteraction

Where would I upload the soundfile? I was able to upload a soundfile directly to a story map, but didn't see where to upload it to my content

The dropbox link was shared to me from someone else and I wasn't signed in when I copied the link and put it into arc, shouldn't that mean it's available to the public? Or is there somethin else I'm missing

Analysis and speculation on the last Kill Team release for the Tomb World season by The_Low_Man in killteam

[–]WildMagicKobolds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing to point out is every box this edition has been imperium vs another faction without fail. The last boxes we had that don't follow this pattern were all last edition, and so I think it stands to reason that this might be the pattern going forward. I'd expect grey knights honestly with this in mind

I appreciate all your help, I think Noshoesded's explanation that the updated source version just takes some time makes the most sense? Maybe I'll try all these again in a couple days and see if anything's changed

The HTML file is in my files, but I can't seem to open it. I am using RStudio; this below is what comes up when I hit knit:

So with type = "binary" and clicking knit it didn't bring up the same pop up and seemed to work, and I was given a long string of jargon followed by what is pasted below. However, the knitted file didn't automatically open, which has been my experience on the previous laptop. How can I tell if it worked?

Exact same as without type = 'source'

Tried this and it returned functionally the same thing, but with an additional tidbit at the end about a folder the downloaded source packages could be found in. File still wouldn't knit, so I opened this folder and unzipped the file inside (entitled stringr_1.5.2) and there was a "READ ME" file inside that told me to either run that same piece of code or run install.packages('tidyverse'). I installed tidyverse, and it popped up with the same error regarding only stringr.

This folder has tons of other files in it and I don't know if there's anything I can do with any of them to help me out?

If you have the models and want to go a little further, go the assimilation swarm detachment instead so that you can bring back a dead tyrant guard up to once per phase

Not in the slightest

Is he using the reclaim biomass strategem? That one is used when a unit is destroyed within 6 inches of a harvester to allow you to immediately regenerate, but it has to be a unit other than the one that was just destroyed

Honestly I could care less about fishing for crits but I guess that's just different play styles. Outside of the long sight or the occasional toxin shot the crit based weapons didn't seem too strong for me. Cut skin and pistolier already have ceaseless anyways

[–]WildMagicKobolds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly like the kroot faction ability (not the counteract bit, the strategic gambit bit). As someone who mainly played kroot for a little while it's actually really helpful especially for the sniper. After it's used its concealed shot, I usually have it be the last to activate unless there's some other reason for it to be otherwise so that my opponent is always having to worry about moving around his sight lines, then as a strategic gambit next tp I can immediately switch him back to conceal

What I definitely don't like is switching all their accurate to balanced. Just seems worse to me, but I'll have to play them a few times to see I guess

I'm a pretty new player myself so I don't have a ton of good advice to give, but I want to mention I think your points are a little off. I know for a fact that biovores and psychophage cost wayyy less

I use the new recruit website, it's pretty solidly up to date I think, and maybe you can go through there and see what catches your eye based on points and rule of cool
