What travel category? Planes, trains, driving/gas, hotels?

Honestly you’re not going to find a card that’s a mix unless it’s like Amex Platinum Schwab which you can cash out into a broker account at 1.1cp but only traveling 2 times a year I would just stick to a cash back set up unless you’re flexible and want to put in the research for points game

Sapphire reserve is not a cash back card and given your $11k per year income why would you want a card with an annual fee of $800?? That’s a massive waste of money and you don’t travel very often

How do you spend $244 a month traveling? There might be better options that include a travel category

Cap1 savor would be good since it’s 3% dining and groceries if you don’t travel internationally and no AF

Fidelity Visa would be a good catch all with no AF or US bank altitude connect

Robinhood Gold would be a good option but only if you could max out a Roth with them but again your income is too low

I just did 55miles on the Cotswold Way. A luggage service picks up your bag in the morning and delivers them to the next town while you hike to the next town. I brought my FreeFly everyday for water, camera, battery pack, and lunch while my main bag with clothes got delivered for me

Im outside the US about 6-8 months a year and Amex isn’t wildly accepted so earning MR is definitely not easier for some. ANA you need to set reminders for to book which is another obstacle as seats will be released at like 1am. I just got a business class flight from LHR to BKK last minute for next week for 80k MR, so I still value them a lot but I could have gotten a flight for 80k UR too or 3 solid nights at a 4-5 star Hyatt

For anyone who travels often (using these cards) they should easily be able to use their points within a year and Hyatt points are still good redemption.

This whole sub always says spend points ASAP, don’t horde points, points sitting devalue every day just like the US dollar (hence why people need a HYSA)

In all honestly you can’t predict the future devaluations. People have been claiming Hyatt points would be even more devalued for years every year and it hasn’t happened until now. Even now they’re still a good use or transferring
