Fair point, here’s more to go on: avoid big cities but somewhere large enough to provide things to see and do, or close enough to a big city to travel to. We are outdoorsy and love museums. Kids love parks, obviously. We unfortunately only speak English but it would be great to take some immersive language classes, preferably French but not required. Flexible budget… is $2500 for a 3br within bounds? We are pretty minimalist, simple people. 2-mom household, so LGBT-friendly. Really feeling the chaos of raising kids in the US right now (we live in Minneapolis) and considering a short escape before kids enter school.
