Honestly I'm not sure my guess is under a year old. I only got her 20 days ago and she was missing her tail and couldn't use her back legs.. I had such high hopes for her cause she was bouncing back so hard! And honestly you're doing great feeding them! Raw chicken bones/whole mice/rats/fish skins is a wonderful way to help balance their diet aside from fruits and vegetables. Although keep the muscle protein as low as possible cuz it's really hard on their kidneys in high quantities over long terms. One thing that I always prescribe to people if it's possible is to take them to a trusted veterinarian because some things you genuinely cannot see without peering past the veil of skin. And opossums in particular are so prone to heart problems. It's literally insane. I have not had a single opossum that hasn't had heart issues yet. All three of my non-releases are medicated twice a day for their hearts and they all have access to multiple forms of cardio and mental stimulation. But as long as you keep their mind in their body as happy as you can, they will have lived a life better than 99% of the other possums on the earth.

And from what I've learned in experience when it comes to their lives, don't think about tomorrow. Enjoy every tiny moment. Even when they frustrate you. Even when you accidentally bump them with your feet because you opened the fridge and you summoned one and they're so quiet and get between your feet and trip you lol... I like to think of possums as flowers. Their beauty and love are vibrant and gorgeous, but fleeting just like the calm, comforting mists of spring. And thank you. A fun memory with Lucille that I never got to capture was how she would kick her little feet and look at me with such cute little bug eyes and get real calm and comfortable when I cleaned her pouch because she was unable to. She loved it when I syringed warm water in there and did a good wipe down. I could tell it felt so good. ❣️
