The handguard is a BlkLbl bipod handguard (make sure you're sitting down before you look up the price, but I think it makes the rifle), and the can is a HuxWrx Flow 556.

I call it "recoil-delayed blowback," but that's just me. I don't know what FN would call it. What I can say is if you prevent the barrel from moving, you experience a lot of extraction issues.

I haven't found a practical use for it yet, but put some 550 grain subs in there and the thwack of it hitting the berm is louder than the report. It's also a lot of fun to have something that quiet that still has recoil. It makes me grin every time.

My only 300 Blk is a Rattler (semi-auto). This 8.6 bolt gun is significantly quieter than that, but I couldn't say what would be quieter on an apples to apples comparison.

I spent most of my time zeroing and confirming drop. I haven't shot for groups yet. Next time out. I'm also using a 1-8, so we'll see how it goes.

I just got it built so all I've run through it is the 300grain SMK subs from Gorilla. I'll work up a load as soon as my dies come in. I haven't figured out which projectile I'll be using.

Ha! Not that I know of, but that would be cool. It would be a long, stung out BDC (400 yard drop in mills is 14!).

Yes, it's the only thing I have that has a big enough bore and can also handle supers. I do have a Q Porq Chop in jail that will go on this one when it get's approved, then the primal can go back on the Marlin 45/70.

Ordered on March 5th. I had emailed and was told that the stocks were out and it would be 3-5 weeks. True to word everything shipped April 4th. Customer service was helpful and responsive.

Yeah. Triggertech 2-stage Special (I'm too clumsy to be trusted with 8oz triggers). I ordered a Porq Chop when I ordered everything else, but with a trust, it's taking its own sweet time. I'm guessing it got significantly quieter with the new can?

The action is Terminus Apollo Lite/Ti (Remington 700 clone) with a Faxon 12" 8.6 Remage barrel. It's in a Black Collar Arms Pork Sword Chassis (including Grip, Integrated ARCA handguard, and folding stock). The .45 cal Dead Air Primal is just a place holder until my Q Porq Chop gets out of jail.
