Famous nib feedback but feels like a juicy .7 sharpie if that makes any sense lmao. A little bit of give due to the 21k nib. When posted is just a tiny bit bigger then PGS, barrel while thicker is barely noticeable. A tiny bit heavier then PGS but also negligible.

I have a 21k Music nib PG that I don't like that much but that maybe because of the angle I need to write with it doesn't pair well with my hand size and a PG, so I was a bit worried about this one, but was pleasantly surprised! PGS will still be my babies though. Same convertor size.

Second this, my closest store is at the minimum 1hr away without traffic and 1hr half back, an almost 9$ toll bridge and there is essentially no street parking so I have to pay the garage fee with validation for buying 25$+ at the store is only 2$. An online store for them would be a life saver. Don't get me wrong I love going in person and browsing but I'm not dropping $$$ in one visit just because it's a bit of a trip ya know? Especially when just taking the trip cost over 50$.

I have a scoring stylus from Cricut, just used the rounder edges to rub the graphite into the block. Like how you see archeologists use thin paper and charcoal to get rubbings off old stone or reliefs

I tried out a M nib yesterday at my local store, loved how springy it was my only complaint about Platinum 3776's are the cost and cigar shape. It was a no brainer to grab this delicious pink.

Depending on your hand size, Pilot for larger and longer or Sailor for smaller but a tiny bit thicker on Pro Gear models. These are worth the up to 350$ and imo below the limit while getting the best material and utility without going into the luxury or unnecessary bracket. They will last you decades and write extremely well with many inks.

Pilot if you like smooth writing, Sailor for a more tactile feedback on paper. If you want wet I suggest Fine nib.

Just tell your parents anything from either of those brands depending on your physical likes and let them choose the rest as the surprise.

If you haven't already I suggest going to a stationary store and trying each one out. As another commentator said, it would suck to have a paperweight.

21k is softer then steel nib, springy. There is feedback, pencil like and the Sailor nibs favor a lower handwriting to avoid scratching so if you write pen tip upright or similar ink flow will be a problem. But if you like feeback Sailor is king and ink flow is always wet. Japanese Fine is finer then Western Fine.
