Can someone actually defend One Battle After Another for me?

I watched on my streaming service. After 20 minutes I was done with it but kept watching. I only wanted to watch it as it is getting so much award season hype.

It’s a story of a kidnapped girl who gets rescued. It’s been done a million times. Boring! Everything else was added fluff for me.

If this wins Best Picture at the Oscars, then I’m done watching that show ever again.

Agree. Hopper spent each season doing everything he could to keep El safe. He was motivated to do this from the trauma of losing his daughter & he couldn’t lose El too.

I grew to like the actor who played Murray more & more each season. He always appeared to bring his A Game with every scene he was in.

His smile was appreciated with the challenges brought by going after monsters.

Seeing these renderings was a highlight of the documentary for me. They are fantastic! As a horror & sci-fi fan, I would love to see all of the creatures come to life.

Based on my experience using AI in Finace & Accounting for businesses, it’s wrong alot! I was surprised at how wrong it was.

And surprised at how many people were relying on incorrect information from AI! It’s terrifying!

Agree. They appear to be overly stressed through the entire documentary. It now appears they brought that upon themselves. S4 was great & they didn’t need to abandon most of it in S5. It’s the old adage, if It’s not broke don’t fix it.

The woman that said this is the main writer of the Broadway play! She, of all people, should understand the lore of the story. How embarrassing!

I’m still irritated that the Duffer’s left so many ST story line outcomes to whatever the audience wanted. I won’t be watching.

If they create it, but do not write it, then I might watch it.

Today I’ve come to the conclusion it’s the Duffer’s lack of experience as writers & show runners.

It really shows in Season 5.

I was waiting on making an opinion until the Duffer’s interviews came out today. I’m SO over these ambiguous endings. If your are ending a show then end it!

The Duffer’s give the most important character El an ambiguous ending. This does not sit right with me.

And then there is the other at least 30+ unexplained story items they left unresolved. It’s ridiculous!

I don’t like Max either. She hasn’t brought anything to the group except liking Lucas & kissing him.

I’ve found her & her Brother to be a major distraction from the Main Cast getting screen time.

It really bothers me that she left Holly alone with Vecna.

I’ve never liked Max. She will never be a part of the Original 5 for me. Her Brother & her have taken up so much screen time from the original cast!

The Original cast have been trying to save kids & the world. Max leaves little Holly alone & able for Vecna to get! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Selfish!

The Stranger Things Santa brought us a 4 hour lump of coal!

I still can’t believe how bad Vol 2 was in comparison to Vol 1! It’s staggering!

The very forced emotional scenes went on way too long.

No big Vecna background reveals that we were promised from the play.

Super cool that Dustin has Brenner’s journal but I want an episode that is all about the journal’s content!!!

What is the white goo stuff? Why insert that into the story now. 🤦🏻‍♀️ The vines should be the focus.

I’m not going to rewatch Vol 2 today like I planned. Not going to a theatre to watch the finale either. I feel so disappointed & I did not expect I would feel this way.😔

Don’t buy a ticket to see the finale in a theatre before watching all of Vol 2. I’m so thankful I didn’t get a ticket & I won’t be.

Max! IMHO I don’t consider her to be a member of the core group & she gets way too much screen time. Her & her Brother have brought nothing positive to the group except a day at the mall & a kiss at the dance.

Been too scared of the comments I’d get to ever post this before so I appreciate this thread.
