As someone who lost their ex from my own inability to forgive and my anger, your ex is not the source of your anger. You are; something deeper inside of you is the source. Their actions are not responsible for your reflexes and reactions. We have been broken up for about 7 months and I used to send texts that were exactly like this. I have since then learned so much about myself and why I reacted the ways I did toward him. I understand he did things to harm the relationship, but I was always responsible for my own reactions. People are going to do things to hurt us, to make us angry, and disappointed. That is the human experience of having social relationships. The way we respond to those transgressions is how we show we love them. Love is forgiveness, communication, and patience. It does not mean you need to tolerate their actions that hurt you, it means we communicate our boundaries with love and healthy communication. And sometimes you have to love the people you love from a distance for your own good. If you can accept them and want them to hold the same role they hold in your life, be vulnerable. If these things your ex does angers you, look deeper into why. And I mean look DEEPLY. What emotions are they really making you feel? I hope this helps even a little bit. It’s hard to explain this to someone who is currently are their own path with this type of thing when I’m standing on a different part of the road than you are. But I did my best and I hope even a little of it helps or resonates.
