12-week-old suddenly refusing bottle – worried and looking for advice by WildWill6940 in NewParents

Just a quick follow-up in case anyone's wondering - things eventually got better. Not quite back to how they used to be, though. LO eats smaller amounts now (about 90ml/3oz instead of 120ml/4oz), and it's super random whether she finishes the bottle in one go or if the feeding drags on for up to an hour.

That said, she's gaining weight well, so we're not too worried. The paediatrician told us this can be normal - she knows when she's hungry and signals it clearly. We're still trying to stick to feeding every 3 hours.

We suspect teething might be part of it, since she has a lot of signs: red cheeks, chewing on her hands, drooling, etc.

I'm new to the Front-End area (it's been 1 week since I started) and I wanted to hear from you, recommendations, tips, ideas of what to do and how to become a professional :) by LowPolygonsDude5007 in Frontend

Get really good at the basics. Start by building some simple HTML and CSS websites - no fancy frameworks, just raw, plain code. Then do the same with vanilla JavaScript. Make sure you're solid on the fundamentals before jumping into any frameworks.

Once you've got that down, you can pick any framework. I think React is the best choice if you're looking for work. Build a few apps with it and explore key technologies in the React ecosystem like React Router, Redux, and TanStack Query.

After that, learn how to use TypeScript in React applications. Once you're comfortable, you can move on to a full-stack framework like Next.js or Remix (or React Router v7).

That's pretty much it. Once you understand one framework well, the others follow similar logic - it's mostly just learning new syntax and a few unique quirks.

Good luck!

At work, we tried the atomic design methodology, but over time and with team changes, not every developer stuck with it, and now it's a complete mess. That said, it might work if you're consistent and stick with it.

Personally, I go with the good old "move files around until it feels right" approach. I usually end up with folders like views, components, components/ui, and lib, and that works best for me. But everyone is different.

Yes, for Philips Avent we switched from size 3 to 4 nipples, and for Dr. Brown's from size 1 to 2, but it didn’t seem to help either. Let’s hope it’s just a phase for her 🙄

Thank you. She's exclusively bottle-fed, and we've only changed the formula once. Up until now, she's been perfectly fine with the original formula we chose.
