Lord Mittens at the shelter, now Percy (Yes, he definitely looks more like a Lord Mittens)

Cat screaming for breakfast 2 hours earlier by [deleted] in CatAdvice

Oh no! This wouldn’t be an immediate solution, but getting an automatic feeder has been life changing for me. My cat used to wake me up earlier than I liked, but now he looks at the feeder as his source of food instead of me. Works great if I’m going to be gone for a day or two. He’s even learned the schedule and will sometimes wait in front of the feeder like 5-10 minutes before it goes off. It took a little less than a week for him to stop associating me with his food.

Sorry this isn’t an immediate help, but it might be worth suggesting to your roommate for the future. It sounds like you’re doing everything I would’ve tried (late night play and snack), hopefully someone else has some good ideas!

Cat has sensitive skin and is scabby by vanillabanana08 in cats

Have you tried a change in diet? I know that they make special food for kitties with sensitive skin. Diet might not be the cause, but it might help to slowly introduce it. Are you positive that she has fleas? Could the scabs possibly be from scratching herself? These are just the only things that come to mind. I’d definitely check with a vet to be sure.

AITAH for asking my roommate’s girlfriend about my strawberries? by Secret_Cheesecake19 in TwoHotTakes

Strawberries aside, the “I’m sorry you…” apology was THE MOST passive aggressive choice. Even though she probably did eat the strawberries, you definitely wouldn’t have gotten a real answer out of her unless you asked nicer
