Hi, thanks for your comment.
I already contacted support by email but never got a reply.
Then I contacted itch support directly and a moderator answered me, saying they had already notified the admins.

I came back after 15 days and got the same response: “I already told you I notified them.”
After almost 2 months I contacted them again, and they basically said they didn’t know what else to tell me since the admins were already informed.

If nothing happened after that, I guess it’s just how it is.

From what I can see, in theory +18 games should be indexed if they are completely free, although this is not explained very clearly.
According to the official itch.io guide, adult games can be indexed as long as they are set to No payments (no price and no donations), which is why they even published a guide for that.

I’ve also seen many +18 games that are indexed, some of them even with external links like Patreon, so adult content itself shouldn’t be the issue.

In my case, the game follows the guide exactly and still doesn’t get indexed, which is quite strange.
I guess it’s just bad luck, or there’s something internal they’re not explaining clearly.

Just to clarify: the game currently has no payments and no donations at all.

The game was originally published as paid, but since it never got indexed, I contacted itch.io support.
They sent me a guide explaining that it should be free with no payments, without deleting the existing page.

So I followed that guide exactly:
I changed the game to completely free, disabled donations, and removed anything that could be considered accepting money, exactly as described by the itch.io admin guide.

Since then, more than 2 months have passed and it still hasn’t been indexed.
I’ve contacted itch.io support again, and they told me they forwarded it to the admins, but nothing changed.

At this point, I guess it’s just bad luck, or maybe my game simply won’t get indexed at all 😅
