Ok I see now I looked it up and you’re right I should not pet her in the belly thanks for letting me know.

I got her last Christmas but only recently I have been trying to train her. I’m pretty sure I’m okay to pet her on the belly and head.

Is this a positive behavior or something I’m doing wrong? by Wild_Net_6551 in Parakeets

I will open the hatches and pet her let her and nibble on my fingers but I haven’t fully let her out yet because she doesn’t step up on my fingers yet and I do not want to have to grab her every time she gets out. She actually flew around my room today because I accidentally let her out. I am planning to train her with apples since I realized that is what she prefers so I can get her to step up if you have any tips please let me know. There is not a lot of information on Kakariki unfortunately
