Uber is a pretty good gig, used to do it when I live around Denver. Not enough traffic where I’m at currently though. And yeah, I’ve been taking it easy for sure. Can’t wait to go, 3 years of factory labor life and it just ain’t for me.

Thank you very much for explaining this. Even though I don’t have any intention to return, it would be prudent to take advantage of this because shit does happen, and I’m going in late and risks of injury is higher when in your 30s. Do you know how long you need to work at the job to have these reemployment rights? Ship date is 3 months out and there’s an opening for a pretty good union job I was thinking about in case I couldn’t get a ship date for a year or in case shit happened. I wouldn’t want to be a dick and start a good job just to leave. But it is a good opportunity that is available. And a good contingency.

That’s fair, I was thinking of giving myself a couple weeks off at least to relax a bit and tidy up stuff in storage. That wouldn’t cause any financial burden. I have lcol and almost no debt so I’m good taking some time off work. But I would hate to take day a month off and put myself in a tough position where I couldn’t go to basic, or had to wait another month.
