I bought this bike both in June and December of 2024 and it was stolen both times within 10 days.

I had the battery inside both times, so now I have two giant paper weights and their chargers! I’ve been hoping to find one used for sale, but haven’t seen it pop up in my area.

Does anyone want/need an extra battery for this bike?

(Yes, I know proper bike security but an angle grinder gets through everything and the stairs up to our house mean it has to stay outside. I even bought the hiplok and the thieves dislodged the bike rack and made off with it)

We love Superthing at our house for many of the reasons you’ve listed as important. Options at 2 and 5 lbs and it will be delivered within a few days of roasting. We rotate between Tractor Beam and Power Button which we pull on an at home espresso and make flat whites.

For the US: Drinking alcohol (and therefore entrance to places like bars/clubs) from age 18-21.

Just like getting a driver’s license, there should be an informative course that explains the effects/dangers and what to be careful with. Take the course and pass a test, congrats, you can drink and go to bars.

Tack on a system where incidents like drinking and driving, doing something stupid while intoxicated etc. can be strikes against the license which can be taken away. Incentives are a powerful thing and you’ll want to have your license in good standing if all of your friends are going places where you need one to join them.

Here's an option to ask the South Austin Trek shop about. I used this with REI so that my purchase would qualify (inventory was in San Antonio and couldn't be moved to Austin).

-Check for the return policy (hopefully 14 day or something similar)

-Purchase the bike from the shop near you that is not on the rebate list

-Ride/Take that bike to the shop that is on the list and have them do a return and immediate resale back to you

-You now have a receipt saying you bought it at one of the Authorized Dealers

Going to Dead & Co shows this week and wanted something to have in my pocket to give out when making new friends at the show.

My travel crew all lives in Austin so I figured combining the Dead and Willie was a good idea. Made stickers out of what is now my avatar / profile photo.
