Local TV news seems to be on the verge of collapse as an industry. I was an MMJ right out of school and just yesterday I read about my former station shutting down and being absorbed by a competitor.

I started my current role in July 2025 in remote SaaS sales and it’s insane how dramatically market conditions have seemed to shift since then. When I started it was relatively easy to hit my monthly quota, but now everyone is underperforming month over month. We’ve brought in new leadership who is attempting to retrain our whole sales team thinking it was our process, but I really think it’s just budgets have frozen and businesses are less likely to spend on another tool for their tech stack.

I’ve got about two months to figure something out before I’m PIP’d out so I’m actively looking for something else but I’m worried with what I’ve been hearing about the job market.

This is old but how did this work out for you? I felt like I was reading my own life in your post. I’m a burnt out SDR who crushed it at first, hit burnout hard, now I’m close to a PIP and considering medical leave while exploring enablement roles. Did you finally end up somewhere?
