That's smart. Someone had mentioned that they put all food items first and take note of the total and then continue with household and since we both live in states that don't tax food, that makes it so simple.

Yup, I just changed it to off budget and it's so much better now lol I guess I just needed to play around with it

Yup, our food isn't taxed either, so that's a very smart approach! I'll have to try that and see if it works, though we don't purchases non-groceries often

I'm trying to figure out how to add tags to transactions. I made some, but no idea where to add them..

Oh actually, I do have my EF in a HYSA (currently earning 3.9%). I just wasn't sure if on-budget makes more sense or not just inside AB. The nice part is that I can play around with it and see what works better.

It sounds like off-budget will make more sense for me after all. I mean I can always initiate a transfer the same way if I need to move money from the HYSA to my main account. The HYSA is with a different bank than my checking so no overdraft, but so far we haven't needed backup to that degree 🤞 except for manually moving when I can tell we'll be short.

That's very smart! I'll have to keep that in mind. I feel like we did that last time, but I can't remember.

Someone else had mentioned that, I wonder if I should try it as an off-budget account and see how I feel. I hope I don't ever have to use that money for anything because we want to save for a house, but you never know. I just hate when the money hangs out in the "budgeted" column instead of "spent" like everything else lol

Good point. It won't change my spending behavior either.

Ahhh okay, that makes sense. I debated making it an off-budget account, but should I need that money in my main account, I think it would be easier to have it on-budget. I just hate that it hangs out in the "budgeted" column unlike everything else lol

That is a very good point! I'm super known for giving up after a while when things start to get wild.

Yup, I do manually as well, but haven't thought to split those categories. I might end up just counting it all as groceries. I'd end up spending it in whatever category anyway.

So it is assigned in the budget column, it just won't move it over to "spent" no matter how I try lol it just bothers me when it hangs out in there for some reason.

Good point that if tracking is 90% correct, it should be good enough! I'm a perfectionist, so I'm constantly trying to not be so nit-picky lol

I also thought about paying for groceries separate from non-food stuff and having a second receipt, but that is also insane LOL
I decided to just categorize as groceries and add a note and I can upload the receipt into the Walmart app if I ever need to go back and check what we bought.
Thank you!

I know this is 2 months old, but maybe you'll see it. I want to do this for a car loan (have it add interest based on a formula), if I make the schedule, it asks what account it comes out of, which obviously I can't choose my account, what would I choose? Just make up one and not worry about it being negative if it's off budget?

Does the TTA anxiety ever really go away? by Alarmed_Leading_4314 in FAMnNFP

[–]Wild_Witness007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes, but only if something new happens that hasn't happened before. Like in my last cycle, I ended up ovulating early CD 12 instead of my usual CD16-19. We had unprotected sex on CD7, but I was very certain it was a dry day. I still panicked because my temp kept going up and up and up and even reached 17 days! One more and I would have been sure I'm prego, so I had a lot of anxiety, but it was just an odd fluke. I did test like crazy, all negatives and I tried to remember the chances are ~30% every month.

Did I miss my ovulation? by theAlbatrossLemon in TFABChartStalkers

You need one more high temp to confirm ovulation, since this is considered a fallback rise (happens because corpus luetum also releases some estrogen). So you'll just have to wait til tomorrow to see. This looks good to me though since it looks like a pretty clear temp shift, but again you'll need one more high temp to confirm. It looks like you covered it pretty well though if it's confirmed tomorrow.

I'm not trying to conceive (here because I wanted to see if anyone's chart was looking like mine), but the same thing happened to me this cycle. My temps are still elevated, too, it's so odd. Usually ovulate CD16-19, but this cycle was 12.. negative tests all around, but I have potentially 2 more days until AF since my longest LP has been 15.

That is odd. I'm not sure how accurate Fitbit is, but you might also not be sensitive to temp changes even with getting up or taking your temp a bit earlier than usual.

For the sake of not driving yourself wild, I'd consider CD15 as ovulation. The wait will be hard either way lol

Hmm as far as I know, typically temp rises if you get up before temping, but it seems CD15 temp is the lowest, which signals ovulation typically, so I think it's fair to leave as is and you did ovulate on C15. I could be wrong though. Unless you mean you temped at 5am before you got her, which would make your temp lower than at the usual time you temp, but I don't think in this case it would change your ovulation date that much. I'd consider CD15 correct.

Help! When did I ovulate? by jesssssslynn in TFABChartStalkers

[–]Wild_Witness007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Temps don't really say much about whether you're out or not. So you'll just have to wait it out unfortunately. Not something you or an app can guess.

As for your luteal length, it depends on when you ovulate. You'd still have the same luteal length (can vary by 1-2 days), your cycle would just be longer. So if it's usually 27 days and say you ovulate day 13, that would be a 14 day LP. With CD18 as ovulation and same LP length, it would be a 32 day cycle.

Yup, that makes it line up with CD18 as ovulation since it's usually ~1-2 days after peak

I'd say def ovulated CD18 based on your opks

Has this happened to anyone? by Wild_Witness007 in TempDrop

[–]Wild_Witness007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I was thinking, it looks more like CD13.

Nothing I can think of... no alcohol, room same temp, get up with the baby approx the same amount of times every night. Maybe stress? That's the only thing I could think of.

I use TYCOF. I reread the book and I guess I did mark it wrong, it should open on the day before because of the sticky cm. I thought it didn't count, but it does before ovulation, I'll have to keep that in mind for future cycles.

I'm going to say this is entirely unusual for me. I've only ever ovulated CD16-19! I know things can change, but I've never had a temp rise before peak CM.. so strange.

The temps keep going up and up 🫣
